Gym Leader Dagny vs Shiva, Final Round
"Excadrill, you may be too weary to dodge, but that Vaporeon has you over a barrel! Wait for the right moment to KO Vaporeon!"
Water Pulse
(3)(4)(1)(6)(4)(1)(6)(4)
Excadrill doesn't have a dice pool large enough to dodge.
Excadrill faints!!!
Shiva wins!
"Good job, Shiva. I would almost say you and I have similar strategies, in a way. We've trained our Pokemon to be tough rather than fast, and to rely on a small number of key moves. It can be a great strategy against overwhelming odds, and we both know that strategy is more important than luck. If such a thing as luck even exists. You deserve this Ankerite badge!"

You also get $800, 22/11XP, and a point of Loyalty for Vaporeon.
"Well, that's all the challengers from your party, I believe. No one else expressed interest in a battle, anyway. It's been a while since I felt that challenged, not since those guys with their gold belts. Especially after my time in the Ruins. Well, tell your friends they've done well and I hope they do more work for me in the future." (which you all can hear anyway)
"Let's see, I suppose you deserve some answers for that victory! I was drawn to the Steel type before I became a trainer, actually, back when I was just researching for a now-defunct company. I was working on powered armor, for military OR civilian use, when I realized that Pokemon could serve much the same purpose already! With the right training. So that is what led to my golden Magnezone (she sends it out), evolved in the magnetic fields of Mt. Molten, and my fleets of Steel Pokemon."
"They can be cold and calculating, some of them. Especially Metagross. But others are playful almost to the same level as a Fairy, like Excadrill here. And of course there's Mawile and Klefki. It just depends on the Pokemon. As a Gym Leader and an extremely practical person, I require more of the calculating natures, but not every Steel trainer is like that."
"Right, the Nuclear Type. Sheldon told me a little about it. It's mostly not for ordinary trainers, only for scientists. Nuclear types are very few and very far between. Too hard to train. You don't want to mess with them. They have a LOT of weaknesses, almost everything. That's why we in Creshire don't worry about them. Some of them hit pretty hard, though. That's really all you need to know about the Nuclear type!"
"Congrats again, and give me a call if you learn anything I can use."
