The Sealer Freed
Nathan returns Ralts's smile. "Yeah, I saw that, little guy...something else, wasn't it? Let's just...take a moment..."
Nathan gets his journal out and writes what he can remember of the message down once the shock wears off.
It takes awhile since he has to do it completely from memory. But he gets there eventually. The first thing he notices is there's a new symbol in the mix that he hasn't seen yet. The second thing he notices when he starts translating them...they're emotions.

A quick think later, and he has the missing letter: P
PAIN
HAPPINESS (there's no clear symbol for H here, though, weirdly...maybe it just doesn't have one?)
...these were clearly Mesprit's emotions. Just now. Either long held in...or newly arrived.

...that small smile...there's still hope yet, it seems...
...Nathan can't help but look out over the river too when everything is said and done. With Calam, Solomon, and Ralts (who's struggling to hold the Clamperl Pearl again, though he IS physically stronger than when he was a Ralts last, so he's managing) by his side...
"...it's out there. Somewhere. And when we're ready, maybe we'll meet it for real...I have so, so many questions for it...but that can wait, I suppose...for now, it's probably enjoying its freedom..."

Ralts obviously shares the moods of those around him, but he's been a Kirlia long enough and is Loyal and Happy enough that he isn't quite the same as before. He still wants to try and ease some of the pain and worry his best friend is feeling...which manifests itself as a pulse of soothing, healing energy! Ralts learns Heal Pulse for 23 exp!
...it doesn't heal any physical wounds, but it makes Nathan smile nonethless. "...still trying to help me, eh?"
"...thank you, Kir...Ralts. I don't know what I'd do without you...man, it feels so weird calling you that again...didn't think that would ever be possible, yet here we are..."

"..,when you're ready to get back to Stair, Calam and Solomon, let us know. Take as much time as you wish. There's no hurry today. Ralts and I will be right here..."
Bonding time with Ralts, Calam, and Solomon! Not every day you get to see a Legend like that. Doesn't have to be a training session. It can just be spent sitting, thinking, meditating, wondering...

Before leaving, Nathan uses his 'dex to take a picture of the cavern Mesprit was in. No secret where it is now...the lake ripple swirls of the cave are really pretty to look at, though...
...there's nothing left here besides that, though. Time to move on. With a nod to Ralts, back to Stair City Nathan goes!
Back at the Center, Nathan's looking for someone...not Heart though (Heart's still in the middle of that battle anyways, so he's not here yet)...nor Ventus...nor Shiva...(they're free to be here and ask Nathan about stuff, though)
...he's looking for Valder, as he has a question for the mercenary. Hmmm...now where is he? He must be around here somewhere, right? Well, if not, maybe Nurse Joy knows where he went...
