[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel
Quote:Dragonstrike

Reiner looks at that pad for a few minutes...hmmm...

"So what's the deal with the suits, guns, and grenades?"

Mr. Grills rubbed his chin thoughtfully as you inquired more about the special oridinace and suits on offer, brows scrunched up and eye directed hidden from sight by his spectacles, before he nodded his head, turned around walked over to one crate that, now that your attention was focused on it, was labeled 'M4 T. 12G  Riot Shotgun. With no ceremony what so ever he lifted the lid off, set it to the side, and slowly reached into the crate to pull out the shotgun:

The now much more intimidating survival businessman cradled/held the gun in such a way that the barrel was pointed away from you and him, and then walk back to you, presenting the mean looking piece of hardware that wouldn't look out of place in an action move, and began to speak about it in a conversational yet business tone of voice.

"' 'Fore I became a recreational survivalist and businessman, I used to be a part of military organization, if ya didn't reckon by now from the camo and dogtags I wear. Been part of the Alola National Guard and The Imperium Machina , and I've made plenty of friends in both in the years I served with them. The National Guard authorized that I could use, buy, trade, and sell Firearms to anyone I want when I asked 'cause they knew they could trust me not to go nuts with them or conduct illegal deals like some individuals (He grounds this out with barely contained igdignation), so that's why the Police haven't thrown a hissy fit and cuffed me for selling guns, much as they like to stop me the tight ass bastards."

The man sighs for a bit, looking a bit miffed as he continues with his unprompted conversation on the topic of gun laws and such.

"I know you Tohjoians have a frankly ridiculous amount of regulations on what Weapons are or are not allowed, but if little children can raise and own Pokémon that can brutalize and kill things in a matter of minutes without any specialized training and on a drop of a hat, then how's that any worse than having Firearms around? Very least their is regulation in place to prevent bleeding idiots or evil arseholes from getting their hands on them easily, it takes months or years of training of all sorts for most to consistently hit their targets, and upkeep on them is fairly expensive and complex to keep people from using them wily nilly, so I'd say the governments of the world has gotten things ass backwards about this if ya ask me."

Grills then let's out a tired sigh and shakes his head, before giving you an apologetic smile, looking a bit sheepish about his diatribe/soap boxing.

"Sorry 'bout that, partner. I just get a mit bit worked up over the topic of Firearms and the right to bear them for fairly obvious reasons, and I get harassed enough by random people moralizing about how 'wrong' they are that I get automatically defensive. Anyway, let tell ya a little bit about this beauty right here, since ya asked nicely. This is a M4 Tactical Riot Shotgun, and its about the best shotgun you can find on the legal and illegal markets. Its effective range is greater than most other shotguns, its lightweight and has moderate recoil, so just about anyone with the right training can fire it without breaking their arms. It is tube feed with an internal magazine that can hold 4 rounds in reserve and 1 in the barrel, and its semi automatic, meaning it'll fire as fast as you can hammer the trigger and can keep it loaded. Speaking of which, when the magazine is dry, it takes longer to reload than if its hot or already pre-loaded, so that is something to keep in mind. Comes a side carrying clip on it that can store 8 rounds on it for quick access and reloading, and a removable sight that can help get a bead on far away targets, though in my opinion you are better off using a pistol or rifle to pick off enemies from Long range, and a carrying case so you won't cause problems. Can also be further modded if you can find somebody with them, but most of them are typically not avaliable to civilians besides what I showed ya. Finally, it can also load most types of slugs and rounds, which include Standard Birdshot (Less Damage, + 2 Damage Dice), Buckshot and Slugs, Rubber (Non Lethal), Flechete (Bleed), Sabot (Extra Lethal), Rifled (+ Range), Needleshot (- Damage, + Pain), and even Elemental Shot if you somehow get your hands on them. Only things it can't fire are Explosive, Acid, 'Magic', Bio, and Cursed Shots, but since those are all highly illegal, I don't think you need to worry about those. Overall, this Shotgun is plain and simply good, and it can and will save your life if need be....."

The rugged survivalist then lets out a heavy *Sigh* , and shrugs his shoulders in slight dismay, indicating that its not just all good news he's going to give you.

"Problem is that its perhaps 'too good', or at least that what's most governments and the Police think. 'Cause of that you normally need Police or Government Authorization to buy and own Weapons of this caliber, which limits the market for them bar a pretty fair margin. 'Corse, with my special permission I'm allowed to sell these to people anyway regardless, I'm required to charge 50% more as Liability and Fine Costs, or it'll be taken straight out of my ass, which I don't want. You also need a Gun License to purchase and own Firearms, obviously, but I can set you up with a Concealed Carry one for $5000 Poke, or $7500 Poke for Open Carry if you have Police or Government Authorization. Last but not least, the price: it'll cost ya $12000 for it , plus $300 Poke per Lead Skin Buckshot round you want. You'll get 12 Standard Buckshot Rounds for it upon purchase on the bright side, but that's about the only one it has when it comes to buying it. If you decided you want to buy it, I'll talk more about how much each type of Round costs in my shop, though I only have Standard Shots and Rubber. So, after hearing all that, are ya still interested in getting this partner?"

After speaking about this, he paused for a moment, letting you think about all he's said about the Riot Gun and giving you the chance to ask more about it/purchase it, before he moved on to talk about the rest of the *Items.

Custom Item:

Riot Shotgun
Cost: $12000 with Authorization, $18000 without, not counting the Gun License Cost.
Type of Gun: Duh.
Damage: Depends on Round, but:

- Damage is Randomized Burst, with how much is calculated/rolled depending on both Range and Accuracy (And other factors). At Best Range and/or High Accuracy its maximum - near maximum Damage capability will be rolled, at Moderate Range and/or Moderate Accuracy it will perform mid term to occasionally near maximum Damage, and at Unreliable Range and/or Horrible Accuracy the least amount of its possible damage will be rolled. Out of Range means no damage will be dealt, regardless of other modifers on the shot.

- For the Riot Shotgun, a maximum of 6 Damage Dice can be rolled, with dice removed or modified based on the above rule.

- Critical Hits do not more Damage Dice than the max; instead, it will add 1 Damage dice up to the maximum if its not already at it, and will make one Damage dice land on its highest number if it is already rolling the maximum Damage Dice it has. (1)(1)s reduces the damage of the shot by 2 instead of 1.

- Shotguns can not by default deal Extra Lethal Crits, unless Sabot or other types of speciality rounds are used.

- Shotguns have an inherent - 2 Accuracy for every shot, which scales depending on the Range and what type of shotgun you are using.
- Damage is calculated based on the numerical value of all Damage Dice roll added together, minus a flat damage reduction from Vitality/Defense + Size (Small: - 3 Damage, Medium: - 2 Damage, Large: - 1 Damage, Extra Large: 0 or More Damage) + Other Factors (Abilities/Cover/Items, etc) .

-For Buckshot, 1D4 is rolled for each Damage dice, with Lead Skin Buckshot dealing + 1 Damage per 2 Damage Dice Roll to all Nuclear types, up to 3 Damage and low as 1 Damage. Large Buckshot rolls 1D6, while Birdshot Rolls 1D2s. Rubber Shot rolls 1D4 Non Lethal, and the rest damages varies.

EX: 4 Damage Dice are rolled for the shot, and the results are (1)(3)(4)(1), the target has 2 Vitality, is Medium Sized, and has no Other Factors. This means the shot will deal 2 Lethal Damage to them.

Assuming Max Damage Roll + Leadskin Buckshot against a 3 Vitality Target without factoring Size or Other Factors, each shot has the potential to deal up to 24 Damage per target.

-Its also can hit up to two targets at Medium to Long Range, but the Damage Dice will be divided between them, and they have to be close together for that to occur.

Range: Personal - Long; Personal to Short Best, Medium is Moderate Effectiveness, and Long is Unreliable.

Type of Rounds: Birdshot, Buckshot, Slugs, Flechete, Sabot, Needleshot, Rifled, Elemental, etc. except the Round that it was explicitly mentioned it could not fire (Well, not without illegal modifications).

Ammo Cost at Survival Kings: Birdshot: $100, Rubber: $100, Buckshot: $200, Large Buckshot: $300, Lead Skin Buckshot: $300, Large Lead Skin Buckshot: $500
