That was all Lucille thought in a trace of bitterness as she slowly got her senses back and managed to get a glimpse of the surroundings while still feeling tarnished. F#ck you, Chlorofoam… how did he managed to get that stuff into his claws, anyway? Without causing suspicion to the facility…?
Maybe it would have been better if she joined Kellyn on his work-related trip to Snowbank Town. It was his idea in all his rush for departure after all, he offered this option to her, he said it wouldn’t be a problem at all, he said he would be happy to visit the temple there with her as soon as the hassle has been cleared by him and his people, but she… damnit. On the other hand, who guaranteed for her safety if she’d be all alone for hours? Sure it would be much more difficult to kidnap her as long as the local gym leader and his Pokemon were close-by, but… ah, this wasn’t the right time nor the right place to regret another decision.
Instead, she forced herself to breath at regular intervals to keep her mind and body as calm as even possible. Not only because she sensed some kind of presence nearby (Note: I mean the Alakazam with the neat nickname.) - …or did she go psychotic by now? – but rather because the shock, disgust and hate from before slowly but steady made more and more room for fear.
………. and there it was, that invidious voice humming a dissonant melody from somewhere far far away, and yet it was so clear like it was only inches away from her, despite every attempt to block it off.
