If Shiva doesn't have anything like an Ultra Ball/Great Ball on her, then after Nathan arrives on scene Ven could just go up and have Apsis Paralyze the blighter with Glare, then use a held back Poison Sting to hopefully proc the Status before it Faints from being pelted with it. That way it only has 2 Capture Resistence Dice, which will make Safari Ball Capture a much more feasible task! If Nathan object, Ven will likely not listen unless Shiva tells him not to bother. Its her Encounter, after all, so her rule is law!

Nathan wouldn't object to Glare or Thunder Wave or similar, for reference.

He'd physically stand in front of Druddigon to prevent Poison Sting, though.
