That got Ven's attention, as he fully turned and gave the boy his full and undivided focus as he Stared them down, looking stoic and displeased.

"Forgive me then, Nathan, for my main priority with how Shiva was doing after such a brutal experience, rather than focus on other matters entirely. I suppose such a thing would go over your head, though, so I shouldn't be that surprised. As for safeguarding this place, we have multiple Pokémon out that would detect and defend us against the slightest threat, and we can summon more in an instant, so don't lecture me on safety boy...."

Ralts is visibly shaking, looking like he's about to collapse from the stress.

"...I was trying to help her when you interrupted things."

Nathan picks up his bag carefully (the egg is still in it after all), then picks up Ralts.

"...Valder, Furret, let's go.  There's too much...anger...fear...pain...Ralts needs to get out of here right now.  It should be safer in Cress City..."

Nathan recalls Starmie and starts making his way out of the caves and towards Cress, with Valder and the motherly Furret following close behind presumably.  Furret even gets to still ride on Swiftfire.

"...see you guys in Cress."

If nobody wants his help, then fine.  He'll just leave.
