'[Speak not what you ill conceive, but instead what comes from the heart, and treat all others fairly regardless],' as they might say," he says in an friendly tone of voice, fluidly transitioning between Common and Japanese with ease with a faint aura of charmed appreciation tinging his mood as he spoke (All Language in [ ] is Japanese for Ventus). Normally the sociologist would stick to soley speaking in Common, as that was the universal language of the world, but hearing the honorific inspired him, so to speak. Wonder if Nathan can understand those parts....?

Yeah, Nathan can understand it.  He's read up on 'Japanese' honorifics before.  And Creshire has its fair share of people who speak the language.  (Would it even be called Japanese in this universe?) He's by no means fluent in speaking it, but he can definitely understand it.

What confuses him is how Ventus knows the language so well.  It's commonly spoken in Tohjo, Hoenn, and Sinnoh (the regions based on Japanese locations).  Orre, Unova, and Alola have 'English/Common' (based on locations in the US), and Kalos has 'French' (which is probably just called Kalosian in universe if the naming scheme stays the same). Tandor isn't really based on any one area of the world as far as I know, so let's just say they either speak Common or Tandorian (which is probably a mix of a few different languages).

No further comments from Nathan right now, but only because he's surprised/confused.
