Emolga chatters at you some more. He nods at Kirlia, affirming the value of having some friends, but it seems he will take more than food and the lure of travel to budge him from his very comfy home.

Nathan smiles.  "Yeah, Ralts here is my best friend.  We've been through a lot.  Wouldn't have been able to get this far without him...well, and everyone else, of course."

Nathan lays on the ground, his hands behind his head, and tries to relax.

"...ya know, you remind me a little of my dad, Emolga.  In a good way.  He was quite happy with where he ended up, too...still ended up traveling a lot to help mom sort out ranch business and other things, but he tried to stay at home for as long as he could whenever he got the chance...mom once told me he was lookin' forward to retirement, when he wouldn't have to almost constantly Fly around almost the whole region on his Skarmory and could just stay home and relax with us consistently for once..."

...Nathan's smile briefly turns into a small frown.

"...I know he has family here in the city, but he never really talked much about them beyond Cress being his hometown...he never spoke ill of them, but...he never did tell me much of anything about them...and nobody from his side of the family ever took the time to visit the ranch...not that I can blame them if they didn't want to go through Mt. Sentry..."

"...sometimes I wonder if they might have an idea of where my dad went...probably not, though...League probably asked them already, too...I just hope he's okay, wherever he is..."

Well, this conversation's certainly taken an interesting turn...wonder what Emolga thinks of that?  Nathan's certainly taking advantage of just havin' someone to talk with...it's doin' him some good for sure.

Emolga waits patiently for Nathan to finish, and gives him a few beats after he's done. He smiles, and tells you a story of his own. Who knows what you might be able to learn if you could understand it?
