Whew...really having to work for recruiting these pokemon without battling lately...makes it all the sweeter when they do join, though!  Lovin' all the character behind Emolga and Furret that we've gotten because of that.

I can certainly appreciate the effort that takes as well, as its MUCH easier to just simply battle and bash them into submission, then force them on your team. Its a doubled edge sword in one aspect, though, as while doing this tends to create a strong bond between Pokémon and Trainer, it makes it much harder IC to justify trading/selling them away if you DON'T want to add them to your main line up. Its for that reason why Ven usually takes the brutal approach to captures, as he's taking care NOT to form an attachment to them so that he freely do with them as he wishes without feeling guility or bad about doing so. That, and such captures rely upon Empathy speciality, which I feel is a dump stat unless you dedicate heavily into, and I much rather buff battle base Specialties, Medicine, or the Language to pick up English in future. I'd figured being an empath would grant a bonus to that for my character, but alas that is not the case...
