Contrary to what might have been expected, Nathan's not startled even the slightest by Malphena's appearance (partially because it was rather gentle.  There's her former trainer's handiwork to thank for that, I guess...)

He's still kinda surprised to see her there, but in the end he just sighs, waves Ralts off (who looks kinda annoyed, but he'll stand down if this ghostie isn't trying to scare the bejeebus outta anyone).

"...I mean, sure, if we have time today after the museum trip, I guess we can go visit the trading card shack once we're done here..."

"Excellent! We'll meet up at the museum's entrance and go to the shop from there if we have still have daylight left, or meet up in the Center's lobby and journey over their in the morning otherwise. That is, if that's alright with you Nathan," the sociologist says, smiling with characteristic glee at the prospect of uncovering something intriguing. He seldom gets excited about artwork of any kind, but if this Keni is as grand of an artist to receive world acclaim, it would be remiss of him not to try and find some example of their work himself to judge!

Melphena meanwhile frowned cutely at the young boy as yet another surprise greeting on her part fell flatter than a Stunkfish sandwiched in a vice grip, as she was sure that he'd be a LITTLE spooked, but nope, still plain as ever! Ralts was still surely as ever at her antics, though, and the pyschic attitude still amusing/intriguing her to no end, so there was that at least. Still, this got the banshee to ponder what would it take to elicit a reaction from those two and get them to loosen up, a thoughtful frown appearing on her while she did so.

Hmm.......aha! Maybe showing off her new Held Item would work! Her master said it was rare and powerful when he gave it to her this morning, so that should at least get them interested!

Plan firmly in mind, the mischevious spirt let out and small *Eeee!* to grab both their attention, including her master, who shot her a looked and probed her feelings to see if she was trying to get up to trouble (She wasn't, uh uh!), before he relaxed and inclined her head towards her. With his permission granted, she floated over in front of the boys and gave them a more confidant *Eee!*, before she calm down and closed her eyes as she concentrated on her powers. The jewels on her body began to lightly glow in tune, and a small purple lump began to slowly materialize before them, taking on a more definite shape and color as the seconds went by until at last it was fully formed.

Given Nathan's Knowledge base, he should easily be able to discern that the stone is none other than an Evolite!

Opening her eyes, the banshee gave them a showy grin and started to...well, show off her Item, using her Ghostly and latent telekinetic powers to float the Held Item in front of them both while doing tricks with it in the air! Well, what do you think now? Surprised yet, *Eeee*?

Ventus silently tilted his head at Nathan's remark as they answered their, already piecing together the ongoing conversation with a notable air of curiousity. 'Marta has a care package for him? Hmm....what could it be, I wonder, if she's being so coy about it by the sounds of it...?'

His 'horrifying' little sister (still out and about with her master) was also intrigued by the conversation, as she's naturally a nosy little spirit due to her nature as a prankster/scary Ghost, and tried to hover closer to the boy so that she could hear both ends of it. If Ralts start getting grumpy at her presence, all the better in her opinion! Their attitude was QUITE amusing to her, as was his belief he could take her in a fair fight, te he~!
