Dilapidated Shack

The inside of the shack somewhat matches the outside. There are loose boards, protruding nail-heads, and peeling paint everywhere. However, it is clean as a whistle and smells quite pleasant. The reason for this is quickly revealed: a Minccino rides on a Chikorita, and together they rearrange the many many shelves, bring up boxes of product, and sweep up dust and grime.

Just looking through the window into the Shack, you find it is a lot bigger than you expected. Ten or fifteen people could browse comfortably in there.

Inside are tons of posters advertising new card releases - looks like they are releasing 387-482 next week, Turtwig through Mesprit. There's a long table for a playspace, and a low glass case with a cash register on it. Behind this counter is a skinny man and a portly woman. The man has his hair swept up and back, and it is dyed green. The woman has flowing white/gray hair, though she doesn't seem any older than the man (mid-30's).

Hanging from the ceiling are big origami legendary birds, the edges of their wings lined with foil.

The store also sells Pokemon comics, fake tattoos, sleeves, playmats, dice, and organizers. They've got a big calendar of events that they host, including a regionally famous con in August (obviously it's not held in this shack!)

First impressions of the Trading Card Store were not the brightest nor glamorous for Ventus, as its ramshackle , runned down exterior left a lot to be desire in what he expected a business of any significant repute, causing a small frown to form as he began to think he was mistaken coming here in the first place. Entering the store and seeing the interior was in rough condition as well did nothing to dispel his misgivings, but the relative neat and tidiness of the place and the wide selection of Pokémon and game related merchandice did marginally improve the researcher's opinions. Malphena was hovering over and behind her master's shoulder as she scanned/searched the place of anything that could pique her interests, but otherwise she stuck close to avoid any trouble from the shopkeeps for the most part. She didn't think they'd pose her a problem, but she didn't want to make any enemies for herself or her master, so no spooky business from her! (Anything she might be interested in here, Iron?)

Similarly to Nathan, the sociologist decided to give the shop a tour to see what it has to offer someone like him, specifically scouring the store for any of Keni Morsugi's cards or indication of where he might find one. Being the fairly practical and heavily dedicated to his research and scholarly pursuits (such as reading/poetry) outside of Pokémon battling/bonding with his family, Ven didn't find much appeal in card or dice games of most any kind, especially if they involved gambling or wagers of any sort. Board games and the occasional video game was fine with him (though he doesn't have a PC/laptop to play the later), though, and he did have a fondness of knickknacks (particularly if the where Dragon/Steel/Ghost themed/based)!
