Heart finally manages to finally come to the pokemon Center still a little dizzy, but enough to be in good shape. Gagryph healing factor is pretty useful. He meet with the others still with Gargryph beside Heart to surprise everyone. He wave his hand and cheerfull talk. "Howdy everyone? My night today, how can I say...was pretty Rock like a Rhyhorn. Anyway, look who I found in the Cathedral." Then Heart show the Tandorian Pokemon to everyone. "Pretty neat huh? Guess you not the only ones with a Tandorian pokemons Shiva and Ventus."

Ralts (and Nathan) start feeling a little dizzy too as soon as Heart enters.  Whooooaaaaa....

Nathan shakes his head to try and clear it...but nope, it's not goin' away...

"...Ralts, use Heal Pulse please.  Maybe that will help..."

One wave of healing energy targeted on Heart!  Should help clear that dizzyness up a little since it's being used by a Ralts.

Nathan and Ralts have clearer heads now, at least.  Maybe it's a placebo effect, maybe not.  Who knows!

"...*ahem*..."

Nathan blinks.  Wait, is that...one of the cathedral's gargoyles?

...and it's moving?

...

...it's native to Tandor...?

"...wait, you mean to tell me that's something like what they might see in...what was it again...it's on the tip of my tongue...uuuuhhhh....it starts with a V...Vun...Van...Von...no, it's...uh...Venesi!  That's it.  Venesi City.  But what did they say the pokemon was called?  Hmmm...."

...

"...nevermind.  What on earth were you doing to get so dizzy, Heart?"

*listens to Heart's explanation*

"...uh huh...well then..."

Nathan and Ralts give Gargryph a respectful bow.  Emolga scrambles to maintain his balance, chittering all the meanwhile.  "Pleasure to meet you, Gargryph.  I trust you have your reasons for accompanying him.  Now then..."

Nathan stands, and...looks just a tad awkward and nervous...

"...everyone's here, so...could we head to my room?  I, uh...kinda want this discussion to be private..."

"'Garpryph'... What a fitting name for this species." Oh, so it's a pure Rock Type? Means it pretty likely cannot fly with these stony wings. Imagining this Pokemon flying through the air, now that Shiva thought a second time about this picture, felt indeed somewhat off. But therefore, it likely doesn't need to fly to impress people, as its noblesse has already caught her.

The opening that the test Heart spoke about was about THIS POKEMON'S CLAW IN ONE HAND - *discreetly looking down to spott these claws on Gargryph's feet/paws* - caused Shiva to impercibly shiver and not-impercibly from as this sounds...dangerous. Very dangerous. If blood was involved, she didn't want to think about what consequences this might have had, at worst a septic shock!!! Eeeek. She rather quickly and eventually successfull bans these thoughts from her mind now. "...P..please make sure that you get better, Heart, and take a good rest to recover, alright?"

Turning silent now, Shiva ended up deciding that it's alright to be around this Pokemon, about 'safe' she's not yet 100% sure but believes in Heart's words. If it'd get too close to her, Azu and her Grass Types will deal with this gargoyle, just in case! As soon as she's alone at some point (maybe not this in-game Day depending where she'll end up sleeping over/how long speaking with Ventus will take), she'll also draw that Almanac to see what it has to add about Gargryph - yes, this 'Pokedex' of hers was still a secret, and she won't tell the group unless it feels necessary. She herself was rather thankful for this device, and especially enjoyed 1. gaming on it and 2. information from all these mystifying Tandor Pokemon, yay.


The request to follow Nathan to his room earned him a concealed deadpan look from Shiva, before she shook that instant reaction off almost instantly. She'll follow, yes, but if she was honest to herself she didn't feel very well to be in Nathan's dorm due to remembering both that almost suffocating feeling she got from the plain room, as well as how the last time they all spoke there Ventus had to do some dilent damage control to her. Naturaly she picked up that nervousness and awkwardness from Nathan, suprisingly she didn't even had to concentrate her senses to do so as he already proofed to be easy to 'read' for her.

Gargryph is stoic through it all. In general he does not react to things until he has good reason to do so.

Gargryph
If trained to treat a place as home, it will defend that place with its very life. As this Pokemon is quite resilient, it is an effective guardian. It moves slowly, however; preferring to remain as still as a statue to avoid detection. Gargryph can shield its mind from psychic detection.

The  sociologist was swiftly to happily wave the rare collector over to the table, but when he detected that they were feeling unwell and disoriented such cheer was replaced with concern for them. Fortunately Nathan and Ralts were able to correct the matter of Heart's wellness post haste, earning them both a smile and a nod for their proactive treatment of the man's condition, whatever it may have been. Ventus found out the cause of it in short order when Heart introduced what looked to be a large animate stone gryphon as his new Pokemon, and explained their shared story, causing no small amount of alarm and intrigue. Alarm for how harshly judgemental the stone avian was in nature, and intrigued because it was yet another mysterious (for a given value) Tandorian Species, ripe for the researching!

However, he decline to do anymore than give the Gargryph a formal bow of his head, as he didn't want to interupt Heart's conversation with his most blessed of friend or badger the pun loving man with such dry yet ethusiastic inquiries this time of night, and.....

"...everyone's here, so...could we head to my room?  I, uh...kinda want this discussion to be private..."

......there was the matter of the meeting that Nathan had called for on such sort notice.

"*Nods his head at the boy* Very well, then let us all head there together, shall we? If you wish for the privacy to speak freely, then the topic must certainly be important or sensitive in nature to warrant such caution."

(I'll just assume Valder is coming along as well for the sake of pace)

Nathan's room is kinda similar to before, but there's a few differences this time.

- That small picture Heart saw back at the cathedral is sitting on the room's desk.  (feel free to examine it more closely.  Stare at the picture, turn it around to see if there's any labels on the back...stuff like that)
- There's a window since there's no big city sounds that need muffling. (Anyone want to see what's outside right now?)
- There's a bed Furret's been sleeping in.  Think one of those beds for pets that goes on the floor.  (looks like Furret's not the only one who's been sleeping in it though.  Forthright and Furret are both sitting in it, and they look quite comfy!)
- Nathan's put a select few books on the nightstand.  (Including the book of children's stories)
- Nathan's carefully set his bag on the bed.  Veeerrrryyy carefully.  Then he sets the Carvanha (Blue with yellow stripes and a red crown) egg against the pillows.  (you can look, but don't touch!  Furret will probably be watching you veeeerrrry caaaarrrreeefully if you're looking at the egg.  I think this is everyone else's first time seeing it in-character)

It's still kinda sparse, and is still very clean, but it's not as...empty.  Nathan feels a lot more comfortable in Cress than in Stair.

"...well, everyone find a seat, I guess..."

Nathan doesn't take a seat himself, though.  Instead, he goes over to the desk, and carefully pulls out of his bag...cake boxes?  And then he carefully arranges them on the desk so that they're in the proper order, sets some paper plates next to them...

"...dang it.  Forgot the utensils.  I'll be right back."

Nathan leaves the room swiftly to go find some forks and knives.  Ralts stays behind to guard the chocolate gateau and Nathan's bag.  Emolga's by the cake too, curiously investigating it, but Ralts is trying his best to keep Emolga from messing up what Nathan just carefully set up.

Everyone is free to look around the room and react to something before Nathan returns!  I'll have Nathan return after everyone's each had a chance to investigate/comment on one thing in the room (if you wish.  Don't have to be nosy if you don't want to be!).  Looking at the cake (which spells out 'Happy Birthday Nathan!' and has a Gateau shaped like a Blue Rapidash.  There's 5 large chocolate Gateau in all) can be a freebie, since that's the focus of this little event, so everyone now gets to know it's Nathan's B-day on top of any other investigations done!  No touching the cake yet, though!

Birthday at the Pokemon Center: Pokemon Center (Birthday) - Pokemon X/Y

The only thing that'd actually catch Shiva's interest in the first place after having found a seat somewhere close to Ventus is, naturally, indeed that Egg. Defuínitely a Pokemon Egg, but from how she carefully musters it in a tilted head she doesn't seem to cotton on on the species this Egg does host, before rather quickly a barely noticable frown adds as the Egg's not inside an Incubator. That's....not the proper way to carry Pokemon Eggs, the Breeder within her was silently crying out! If Furret and Ralts allow, Shiva does take a look behind herself to see whether anyone if directly near her, before she started to ponder whether it's safe to draw that Almanac to scan it, failing to conceal her wondering. In the end though, she doesn't, too risky and she wouldn't enjoy putting that Furret on edge!

Apart from that, she calmly waits for Nathan to return, she has been raised to be respectful and well-mannered by nature, and being nosy when the occupant of the room is away is not much of a polite thing.


The very suprising sensation of....was that cake? caused her to eventually impercibly sigh and facepalm - so THAT was probably the reason why his Mum called and Nathan ran off to the Center afterwards! How sweet by him to share. But if Nathan would have told that his birthday will be soon, or tomorrow, Shiva could have prepared something, but since this wasn't the case... Oh well, at least there was one thing she could do, and for that sake she summoned Azumarill to her side and whispered something to the blue fae rabbit, she nodded eagerly and did as being told as Shiva offered the top hat to her.

Then, she draws her usual star-patterned journal, pages a little though it looking absent-minded, and eventually noted today's date as Nathan's birthday. She nows the Unovian Horoscope by heart, but just to be certain she looks up again on the list written on he next page,
