Reiner blinks a few times.  Goes cross eyed for a moment.  Tries to form a response in between breaths since the hug is so tight.

"...acting...strange and...funny?  Urgh...Kyubi, what...happened after I...entered the room?"

*sniff sniff*

"...is that...smoke?  Is...something on fire?"

Reiner's aaaallll too familiar with that smell, unfortunately.  As are Kingdra and Weavile, for that matter.

Your next question manages to get Kyubi to release you from her tight embrace, her expression turning from one of celebratory happiness to one more......troubled. Saddened and ashamed, even, as she pulled away, arms now crossed across her chest as she hugged herself and looked away from you as she responded.

"........You don't remember Master.....? .............You came up here to see how I was doing, but you......you ended up collapsing on the bed and just......just laying there. I'd....I'd tried to wake you up, make you get better Master for...for awhile.....but you....you didn't react to anything I did, so I tucked you in bed and tried to go get down Mr. Mime for....for help. But.....but as I tried to go, you jumped up and hugged me, and....and begged me not....not to leave you like.....like Clair and Taylor did. So....I stayed, and......and held you while you.......slept, and tried to take care of you like.....this. We've been together like this for.....an hour (her voice sounds questioning at this point), until you....you woke up now. I'm....I'm just so glad that it worked, because i-if it d-didn't.......*Whimpers* I don't know what I do without your, Master........"

At that point, she lets out a pitful whine as her ears canted downward, looking utterly miserable at THAT thought.

You detect nothing is amiss or being left out with her explaination, though you do get the sense that recounting the story discomforted her and made her feel ashamed.

Instead of what you wanted to say, what came out was the following line: "Is something on fire, or are you just smoking hot Kyubi?"

This caused her to snap out of her post story funk and stare at you with a stunned expression......before meekly looking away with timid but affectionate as she answere, her long luxurious tails waggling show just how pleased she was with your, ahem, question.

"......I may have broken a chair or two and set it on fire after you passed out, M-Master. C-Completely on accident, though!"

Was she blushing?

....Yes, yes she was. The fact you could see it through her fur....wow.
