Yes, you realize that's a Hidden Power, though it's not at all obvious. Being Psychic and regal, it doesn't look much like an attack/move.

Gargryph hits Ralts with the same move "he" used on Heart. It does nothing, not even damage.

Nathan thinks for a moment.

"...that was a Hidden Power, Heart.  And based on how it did nothing to my friend here and the appearance, it's a weak Psychic move...definitely didn't give my friend Rebuild, though...however, this is an interesting opportunity..."

Nathan looks at Gargryph again.

"Would you mind if I test something of my own on you since you can easily heal back any damage dealt to you?  I'll hold back on the move so it can't possibly KO you.  Promise."

Gargryph turns his back on Nathan. That's a hell no.

Ventus couldn't help but shake his head in disbelief at the scene, not because Gargryp refused to cooperate with Nathan request (That was something he perfectly well understood), but the fact that they were all too willing to ask permission/explain themselves to the stone griffen, but not give the same treatment to Heart. He wasn't sure if they did so because of the group's reemings of his decision or simply because his STRONG inclination towards Pokémon, but either way it seemed like a textbook case of 'too little, too late' to the researcher at this point.
