Wait, why the heck not? I understand not sharing the bees, but Ven wouldn't treat the spider poorly at all, and IC + OOC he's literally the best choice to host Ditto due to having Max Insight/Being well researched on them, so I'm just plain confused now.

Ven probably wouldn't use Yule at all, and only have him ready for Nathan to use as necessary if added. He already has Michael as his go to Grass type, so the only thing he'd use Yule for is as a mount maybe.

You know why he won't lend Ventus Grid.  Unless you can promise me OOC AND IC that Ventus won't do the thing Nathan's worried about.

Nathan is really defensive about Ditto, and I and Iron are the only ones who know what Ditto will Transform into randomly next.  Plus, there's something coming up with Ditto that I want to try out myself...

Yule would primarily be there as an extra mount anyways.  Between him, Swiftfire, and Ditto, that's quite a few people we could carry that are having trouble walking for some reason.

While Ven would prefer that Grid adopt a predatory/semi predatory lifestyle, he won't force/introduce such a change without the explicit and implicit consent of Nathan first , as even he's not morally dubious enough to start screwing around with other people's Pokemon without permission. He won't necessarily like Nathan effectively forcing (to Ven) them to adopt their squemish approach to feeding Grid, but he'd be perfectly tolerant and understanding about them forcing their hand. Ven would stipulate that this won't prevent him from bringing up the topic AFTER the expedition is over for Grid/Calam/Charmeleon, and would bluntly refuse to host Grid if they tried to force him to TOTALLY abort his campaign to get Grid and co to eat more 'naturally'.

In short: Ven would agree to take care of Grid however Nathan liked, and only that way, but in no way would he stop offering/bringing up the topic of hunting after the expedition is said and done.

Why is he defensive about Ditto? I mean, yeah they are valuable, but Ven ain't no thief and would promise to not do anything Nathan doesn't want Ditto doing (just like with Grid), and unlike Nathan he would just sorta roll with the random Transformations, considering it a quirk of Cheshire born Dittos. However, if you have plans with the metamorph, don't let me or Ven interupt then!

If you end up giving Yule to Ven, then he's going to probably try training them and get them to learn Milk Drink at some point if its possible. Another source of food AND healing is always appreciated!
