Carbink still seems very frustrated that you are not turning back despite its warnings. Yet that moment of hesitation was meaningful.

"...how confident are you in your battle capabilities, Carbink?  Do you think you and the Geodude can handle a simple fight without relying on explosions if there's no danger of getting instantly wiped out as a group?  Somehow, I get the impression that you could handle yourself without risking life and limb due to your own attacks.  So why risk your life if you don't have to?  Is there any reason to self destruct and harm yourselves if the opposition isn't trying to outright obliterate you?  We mean you no harm, so don't harm yourselves because of us."

Nathan's barking up the wrong tree here, and Carbink hops forward again, ready to attack. None of Nathan's words there had the slightest effect. If anything, Carbink looks affronted.
