[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Nerfs to Sleep

Looking ahead to important battles yet to come, I feel the need to reconsider how I've handled the Sleep condition.
Top-tier fighters like Gym Leaders and the Elite Four are canny enough that they have plenty of strategies for dealing with Sleep, but for the average trainer, it's an automatic win in its current form.

Though there are several confusing turns of phrases in the rulebook, I think the majority of evidence shows I've been doing Sleep wrong. The Pokemon should get an Insight roll after every (attempted) action.

I'd like to transition to this interpretation once you return to the surface.
That gives you plenty of time to adapt. If you want to discuss refunding Awakenings or move purchases, please do so in the meta thread!

Frozen doesn't seem like it needs a nerf, since only a single Str check at the end of the round is required, or a supereffective move in a single action.

A character not in battle doesn't get the Insight rolls, so it's still definitely supported to use Sleep to win an informal battle without reducing the foe's HP. This new interpretation would mostly affect formal battles.

Feedback is welcomed.
