Silence - silence was something pleasant, but at first it was soft-plaqued by Ventus seeking for words and in the end by the words he spoke out. Not that Shiva'd blame him, no way, he was telling the truth and she much appreciated that he was doing so instead of soften the matter. If he'd do so and she'd approach Apsis with hope when offering her that Sludge once and notice that the cobra does not at all react favourable, it'd only cause disappointment and disenchantment and at worse one of her own Pokemon trying to let Apsis physically know that her behaviour is not tolerable!



Staying there leaned against Ven's side, she replied nothing at first as she rethought his estimation of things, but as Shiva eventually moved to rest her head in her hands, it became obvious that she's disheartened to the very core. Not enough to become depressed due to it, but she remained in this position for relatively long and at one point is seems like she failed to hold back a low sob.



She managed to find herself back soon to some degree however, especially after some tender loving care from him, but the thought that Shiva herself can't really do a thing to get Apsis to at least tolerate her of necessity - or can't do a thing at all, it seems - that hit her. When she spoke up towards Ventus again, her voice was low and the ting of sadness was very audible, but she prefers to face the ground when speaking and had to rub her eye once real quick. "T...Thanks for you insight. I guess that's partly due to the nature of these poisonous snakes... But, Ven, I guess then the only thing that's left for me is to continue trusting in you that you won't let Apsis do anything.....unfavourable to me or my own Pokemon, I have not forgotten that thing when I came to you after the Candelabra. I, in return, will make sure that I'm not putting her on edge unnecessarily, but that doesn't mean that I'll keep my distance from YOU every single time she's out... But I'll think twice before approaching you when the cobra's by your side, maybe it'll help if YOU'd be to approach ME while having her siding you." A long break followed before she added "That Black Sludge... I'll keep it, but I'm alright to sharing it with you from time to time, but maybe not while accepting the necklace SHE'S USUALLY WEARING in return, maybe she...won't like that."



More to herself and to the ground, a low "Stupid Poison Types....." followed while a for a moment a flash of anger washed over Shiva. That Skrelp she hatched was the only one that she could imagine for her to have, but she simply didn't feel ready to deal with such toxic a Pokemon, it's better for both if Professor Mallorn takes care of that seahorse.

Ven couldn't help but mirror his fae fancy's negativity over that unpleasant revelation, as for one he didn't like the fact he was responsible for making her feel like so, and for another he also didn't quite like the fact that Aspis held her in contempt. If only she favored her as she did with Nathan, than this wouldn't be that much of an issue at all! When she cradled her head and started sobbing, the empath swiftly took a couple of steps forward to wrap his arms around her, silently comforting and begging her not be sad about this. Its his fault that he didn't catch his sister's behavior towards her early on and worked to fix it, so she shouldn't feel burdened for his mistakes....

Once she calmed down and raised her opinion on this in a slightly quavering tone, Ven put his own emotions in a tighter grip to force himself calm as he responded to her in a firm yet caring voice. "I've already disciplined Aspis about her......warpish behavior towards you at the Candelabra, and warned her the consequence if she repeated such actions, so she won't do such things to you ever again. She's well in hand my dear, so your trust won't be misplaced. .....I'll try to work with her more so she learns to keep her opinions to herself, so hopefully you won't always have to be on guard around her Shiva. I'm grateful you would even consider getting near her again on occasion, so I don't mind if you choose to avoid us both if she happens to be out and by my side. She'll behave whether or not I'm the one doing the first interaction between us, but that is something to keep in mind. (....) .....Thank you, and I believe you are absolutely correct in that assumption, as she's loathed to even let me lend it to her other family members at times, so no doubt that feeling would be magnified if I tried to share it with you."

The researcher frowned as he faintly heard his most blessed girlfriend's opinion on Poison types, both out of an instinctual anger for demeaning his resplendent reptile and concern over her phobia for the type, but he quickly quashed such feelings as he let go and prepared himself to give his report to everyone else. After all, given his aversion to Fairy types and currently cool attitude towards Braixen due to their own baffling animosity towards him, he doesn't have any ground or a lack of understanding to critizise her.
