Nathan and Ralts quietly observe for a little bit...

Failing those, there are researchers who are more experienced in handling these matters. There's hope if you know where to look. But that has to wait until we're out of these caves, and I'm fairly certain they can't brainwash pokemon on a whim. So please calm down, don't worry about it, and we'll deal with that problem when we have the time to."

"...fine, it seems everyone is set on trying to surprise them if possible, but I really don't recommend trying to cause any cave ins. That's more likely to do more harm than good, and it's dangerous enough down here as it is. I doubt hostages are going to work as a bargaining piece. We can't make any concrete plans to try and catch them off guard until we know where they are and what the surrounding area is like, either. And the longer we wait and discuss this, the more likely it is they'll be prepared. Mr. Finder, do you have an idea of where the Scimitars are right now relative to our position?"

"...those moves could just as easily shoot us in the foot as much as them. If their gauntlets aren't sufficiently affected by Magic Room while we're somewhat dependent on the items our pokemon are using and/or we need the healing more than they do, we're going to be in for a bad time...I also had Calam try Taunting one of the Scimitars to prevent a non-damaging 'move' he was using. All it did was make him angrier, and he kept using that 'move' anyways. I don't know if Me First will necessarily work on them if their attacks are operating in a different manner than a Pokemon's moves. Trace also...acted weirdly when facing them. They don't have any Abilities, being human, but...Ralts was staring at his right hand in surprise and wonder while we were battling the Scimitars. If he could have done something while experiencing that, then I don't really know how or if he could have done whatever that might have been enabling. All good ideas worth considering, but they're...complex and potentially risky ventures."
