Ventus moves to the disturbance being dug by Nincada - it's digging straight upward and the tiniest split is beginning in its skin, both of which normally only happen in summer.

Despite his foul mood, the sociologist/researcher couldn't help but stare in wonder and fascination at the Nincada slowly burrowed towards the surface, his mind churning as it processed the tell signs were presented to him clear as day.

'Hmm.....making preparations for its Evolution into a Ninjack, just as I expected, which is a perplexing given the species usual life cycle. Did this individual hatch earlier than the norm and is reaching maturity only now, or does it hail from a population of Nincada that have a fast normal generation time? If not those, is something else entirely responsible for this? And what has caused it to become near frozen solid in the first place? My my......I have to study this specimen in great detail....'

With that resolution firmly in mind, the researcher cupped his hand around his mouth and tried to beconned the gelid insect's attention, saying to it: "Nincada, can you hear me? My name's Ventus, and I mean you no harm my friend. Do you mind if I come closer so I can examine you in greater detail? Your current state is quite odd to me, so I wish to try and divine what exactly caused it. I have plenty of food on me and you'll be well protected from any predators while I conduct my examinations, so you'll be duly rewarded if you consent."
