As for relative Strength, you are right, but between Speed Boost, Harden, Mud Slap, and Night Slash/Leech Life it has plenty of methods to deal a LOT of damage and survive!

Speed Boost takes a round to kick in, though.  Zippy just always has +1 Dex (well, and -1 Vit, but that can be worked around).  Only thing Night Slash really has going for it over Bug Bite/Gust is the increased crit chance (well and type, but that only REALLY matters if the opponent is weak to Dark or resistant to both Bug and Flying).  Leech Life is kinda weak without some extreme Strength Boosting/Defense lowering shenanigans, unfortunately.

Anyways, it's a moot point now since Ninjask is headed to the PC.
