Reiner's hardly surprised.

...but that doesn't mean Emily's completely blown it yet...

"...you can trust her, Poe.  She's a good friend of mine.  Wouldn't even dream of intentionally scaring ya."

He looks at Ridia with a half smile on his face.  "Told ya Emily likes Normal types."

The easily frightened fox turned towards and gave you an uneasy look that plainly said "Are you sure....?" , but with a little more encouragement and some ear scratching you manage to persuade the little guy, as he took tentative steps out of your embrace and towards Emily. It was slow going, as every few strides he'd stop in hesitation or twisted his head around to look at you and his sister for reassurance, but eventually he was right before the little miss, nervously staring up at her with wide eyes.

Meanwhile, Ridia only gave you a surprisingly effective deadpan expression that clearly said "Noooo, really? " , before sighing and shaking her head. When you managed to persuade her Little Bro over to Emily's side though she was quick to shot you an irritated glare that conveyed the notion "Just what the hell are you trying to pull, buster?!" , quite displeased with you for coaxing them over to the (in her opinion) untrustworthy + overexcitable girl. She then turned away from you to go fetch/drag her brother away from the girl's 'dangerous' clutches......

.......only for you and her to see the both of the cuddling each other, the little miss snuggling petting their scrawny body in one hand and gently caressing his head with another. They were lost in their own little world, the smol artist attention squarely with a half lidded eyes paired with a kind and caring smile, while Poe was in bliss at her tender ministrations, eyes closed with a smile on his face and every so often letting at a cute "Eevee...!" It was frankly such sweet and adorable sight you felt like at any moment you'd contract diabetes and suffer cardiac arrest.

Yes, it was THAT adorable.

Big Sis , inured to her own brother's ample Allure, could only stare gobsmacked briefly at the pair, before she snapped out of it with a shake of her head, before turning back and fixing you with a grumpy stare that conveyed the notions: "Okay, so you were right about. I'll let you off with a warning this time......"

Things continued like this for awhile, Emily happily cuddling Poe while you and Ridia watched on with varying degrees of affection/aww! (though she tried to hide her own reaction; got to keep up a tough, stern image!).

Strange, how almost a week ago you were all but an unrepentant criminal, with only Petrel and maybe Proton as your friends/aquantices besides your Pokémon, soley motivated but the drive to become a Executive and use that power to enact your revenge against the Elder that unduly wrong you.

Now, you have so many people you can call genuine friends (to varying degree), and after some.......'exciting' events you've reflected on your actions and decided to turn over an new leaf, and live by your standards alone.

Guess what they say about The Flower Festival is right: its a truly memorable experience.

Its moments like this that you wish could last forever.......

.....A shame that they can't, with the interesting life you lead, little drake.

Hehehehe.......been awhile since I last stopped by to chew the fat with you, eh?

Probably not long enough in your opinion, but alas life is full of inopportune moments and unsavory events.....!

Which leads us to why I decided to pay you a visit: your stalling, Reiner.

You can't stay with Emily all night, not when you have other business that need be done, oh no no no!

You'll have to confront Mina - or at least try to, anyway - deal with that little jester I had to save earlier from that Delta Muk - your welcome, by the way - and then head off to bed to began your no doubt exciting Saterday.

Reuniting with my soon to be apathetic sister - oh, you don't know how happy I was with your decision, little drake! - braving that Nuclear Research Facility, meeting with Valarie and perhaps his little spitfire of a granddaughter, and figuring out whether or not you want to betray Team Rocket and throw the city into anarchy.

That, and so much more.

I'll give you a few more moments with Emily, but soon....

.....you'll have to leave her to rest.....

.......and finish what you started.
