Seeing things were going to heat up to scorching levels soon, both Poe and Alomomola ready themselves to support their respective combatants all they can!
Support Initiative:

Before anyone else could even have a chance to react, Little Bro suddenly began to cheer his frail heart out for Ayame in an effort to motivate her to greater heights!

Intelligent as they were, Baltazar knew that the giant hornet was going to hit them fast and hard, and also knew they couldn't KO her in short order to prevent, so he just had to settle with whittling her down by pleating her with chucks of his own body and brace themselves for one heck of a retaliatory strike!

The psychic golem couldn't revel in his boost for too long, however, for soon the ninjasect darted right forward and launched a blitzkerg of piercing hits, their stingers glowing a noxious purple the entire time!

Damage: *5D6 + 1 for the first hit that lands, and *2D6 + 1 for any hit that lands afterwards due to the Defense boost that Ancient Power gave Baltazar.

Seeing that she was left winded and wide open from her flurry of blows, they launched their own orderly assault against them by continuing where they left off: using parts of himself as telekinetic missiles!

Before they could really get going, the Pain from their wounds inflicted earlier were starting to through its aim off, so the intergalactic golem decided to gather its latent power and channel it to repair themselves, before picking up its assault right where it left off! (Had to Move Recover up in order to fulfill your Actions, or try to at least!)

And so the victor of the first Round of the gauntlet, floating inches off the ground as they slowly reconstructed their body from their Ancient Power barrage and surveyed the scene with calm resolve, was Baltazar! It was as they predicted: their/Arial's Techinacal Skill and strategy trumped Ayame's Stealth and hasty attacks, proving to Reiner why they were known as the Wise King.
During this lull, Alomomola proceeded to enact her master's next part of his plan by closing their eyes in prayer!

Things have only just begun in the battle between boss and bodyguard, but already their has been an upset in expectations! Will Arial actually manage to prevail against Reiner and prove himself just as competent as they are, or is this just a MASSIVE string of luck working in his favor?
