Sableye Horde Round 2
4 undead Sableye remain which all get to attack before we can, but one hit will despel them.
Sarge, which me and Heart shall protect, is at 6/8hp, -1 Pain.
Yena only suffered 1 damage and is at +1 Strength from Howling.
Azu bears 7/9hp, -1 Pain.
Dizzy took no damage, lol.
It all was a truely scary sight and a mess of a fight where one dramatic action followed the other... In short, something Shiva only knew from having played too many Adventure-RPGs. This was much different however, active participating is it, there's real danger, she couldn't just save beforehand and try again if failed, here one could experience truely and in an unpolished manner the REAL thing! She, eh, didn't really know how to handle this or where to sort that experience, all she definitely knew that she HAD TO KEEP GOING. Until the end, until the intensity of this battle fades and one party still stands boldly while the other had to face defeat. If sucessfully defeated however... The glorious feeling of having won over a dangerous foe will be true and real as well.
Keeping a cool head turned out harder than expected however, WAY harder, as she indeed unknowingly relied on her fae rabbit's encouragement to continue. Seeing how some of the ghostly Sableye even made it to allure a pained and enraged howling from her Mightyena from the same move she enjoys to exploit with her psychic cat (Fake Out), Nathan's grassy goat fainted and had to be recalled, as well as Ven's ghostly sister ended up STILL being pestered by these nasty Sableye didn't make it easier at all, and for one moment it seemed like Shiva began to stagger herself and loose that hope, she found herself taking a small step backwards in fear, causing her to unwillingly TOUCH that ghost of the soldier she had Heart were to protect, and look up to him and his spectral sword. (Does it give her any feeling/sensation worth stating, Iron?) One way or the other, it neatly and swiftly reminded her on why they were battling here at all, WHY in Reshiram's holy name they involved themselves into fighting undead Pokemon, just WHY she had to be strong.
Failing was no option. It wasn't available. Weakness had no room here, fear at the wrong time would only serve to backfire. The action of Running or Forefeiting has completely vanished from the Select Menu!
One look at her and 'her' three Pokemon currently involved in the battle made it to awake her spirits more, they already knew what Shiva only realized just now, they would FIGHT TILL THE BITTER END. Bitter end... Speaking of that, it was semi-clear to her that her love would take the Sableye's further scratching on his fainted Malphena not too well, it didn't suprise her when that wave of icy-cold hatred and wrath coming from the oddball of sociologist hit her like a crashing wave hits the unprotected shore during a flood, but it still made her gasp for air once before having gotten used to this aura. No fear is brought her however, as she has seen and experienced him in an Unfettered State already, and not once she found herself asking whether it was justified to take agressive actions against these undead Sableye...
What did suprised her and caused her to stagger mentally, was the fact that Swiftfire was ordered to blaze through the whole Horde with the mighty flames of an Inferno... A moment later, she was visibly impressed by that choice of action, and shoot the owner of the firely horse an appreciating look. Hopefully the icy walls will be able to take the temperature and amount of flames.
'They cannot be slain', spectral Captain Bridge said. 'Only tormented, and their energies dispersed by the swords that opposed them in life'... This meant, even if Shiva were to decide for slashing these already undead Sableye with hat kitchen knife in her stuff, it wouldn't help anything. The fact that she was actively mulling of this however spoke for itself already, and for her will to do anything.
Anything that was within her power at last, she knew that the others of her group were braver than she was, more willing to take any risks in their desire to do something, to simply END this fight for good, to show that they all were not to mess with... The enemy was coming closer, the shadows and the half-real blood on the swords was just as real as them...
...They're approaching, refusing to stop when their end was near........
".....N....No way we'll leave you standing now, captain! *eager headshake* Up at the surface, regardless of in real or in my games, the party remains together to experience either failure or victory together, it's not over until the last foe has received what they deserve, none of the crew gets left behind!! Azu! Hear me out, one last wave of encouragement, please!!" She swiftly points to someone in the battle, determination and a pure, almost desperate desire to HELP gleaming in her eyes behind the glasses. "Yena... Dear one... Show them your biting force once more. SHOW THEM! *wheezing for breath* These are... *cough* undead ghosts of partly Ghost Types, so go for it! Show that my training with you was worth it!"
-------------------------------------------
Azumarill's final move: Helping Hand of the Fairy's Kiss on Captain Bridge
Accuracy Roll: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 2 Perform - 1 Pain = 6d6
Effect: Grants him +2 dice on both Accuracy and Damage Roll - may the captain lead us to victory!
Secondary Effect: Encouragement for everyone.
Additional notes: Last time I missed to state that this move has +5 Priority, it'll go before anything else. I'd spend a Will Point, but I'm trusting that this action will succeed without one.
Yena's final move: Crunch of the Canine's Dance on one unlucky Sableye
Accuracy Roll: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 2*Brawl = 7d6
Damage Roll: 4*Strength + 3 Power of the move + 1 STAB = 8d6
Additional notes: 1 CD to lower Vitality by 1. Non-lethal as I don't want Shiva to be tempted by the other's choices. Shield Dust saves him from any CD-Effects.
If possible, I'd like my Mightyena to STILL do something even if all Sableye are defeated before he takes his action. That'd just fit his nature and the scene so well! Can be anything from viciously leaping like depicted on this artwork after the black smoke the Sableye leave behind to howling in might.
