To the Relicanth's first question and second response, Ven chuckles fondly to the relic of a fish, a sense of delight filling him as the Knowledge he gained from their answers more or less confirming his second hypothesis on them. 'Fascinating......so this this is lake is most likely one of many depositories of run off saltwater from the sea from an underground channel, and this Relicanth's subspecies most likely came to live in this lake countless ages ago and have adapted to best survive here over the eons. Now I wonder how this specimen compare to an 'average' Relicanth, what extent are the difference between them, and how those difference help them survive in their respective environments.....'
To them bringing them one unit of Hurtloam to him, the researcher could only blink in surprise at first, because he honestly didn't expect them to comeback with anything useful at ALL. It was a question he asked on a whim, but it looks like it paid off after all......shame it was something he had (in his opinion) good reason to be adverse too. Never the less, despite his reservations about the substance he took it from them and carefully packaged it into a plastic baggie before stowing it away, bringing out a new ration bar from his pack and breaking off a third of in small chucks to feed the mineralized colicanth as payment for services rendered. Like it or not, Hurtloam WAS a useful healing Item, so he wasn't going to let it go to waste if he's given it!
When the Relicanth ultimately decided it rather stay here at the lake, the empath's smile turned a bit melancholy as he bowed his head at them, saying to them in an kind and understanding tone of voice: "I understand, Relicanth. I wouldn't have left my own home until I had quite the pressing reasons, so I can't expect you want to leave your own with a complete stranger without similar motivation. Thank you again for letting me study you, and thank you for the Hurtloam too. Farwell, and may you have a long, prosperous life ahead of you."
After biding farwel, Ventus departed from the Relicanth and towards the group, with his archangel + hitchhiking devil bat gliding along after him, both Fliers very eager to get off the ice and closer to the Fire types of the group!
Order: Take the Hurtloam and give Relicanth some food in return, before saying good-bye to them and rejoining the group! Not that much of an exilerating encounter, but Ven and I was able to learn quite a lot from it and got something nice too, so I'm pretty happy with the outcome!
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
