Well, I was going to have Reiner call a ceasefire (as well as resume things as a proper single battle).  Until Electric Terrain wore off at least.  (Hence the 'Reiner was about to say something' part).  Even if Arial had still reacted angrily, but didn't mention that, Reiner still would have.  But Arial did mention that...

So...yeah.  Unfortunately, most of that empathy is less effective when someone insults basically your entire life.  As soon as Arial said that, it overrided most of Reiner's other possible reactions (which I have noted down as an actual character trait for him.  Fastest way to make him angry and all that)

Reiner hasn't completely lost it yet, but yeah, he's definitely...unstable.  Short fuse and all that.  He knows it, too.

I'm personally imagining that he's barely keeping himself in check.  If he completely lost it, he wouldn't have told Poe to back off.  Or even looked at Alomomola.  Whether he's able to calm down a little...well, that partially depends on how Arial reacts to that 'story' and just how purely angry Reiner is currently.

Fair enough points, especially since Mew or Emily isn't around to help moderate Reiner's volitle reactions, unless you want me to pull a Deus Ex Machina and find someway for the later of those two to barge in on your battle and 'fix' things. Its why I was less nitpicking on your reaction towards Arial, as I knew without a shadow of a doubt once they call his status into question a shitstorm was going to be abrewing, but I was still somewhat disappointed Reiner didn't have the presence of mind to not mix water and lighting in the first place and inadvertidly caused this problem. Maybe I should have PMed you about that when I realized what was about to happen, but now its too late to offer a retcon since I already rolled the last round out,  so we have to live with what happened.

If you want, I as Lord Windos, Annoyingly Ominscent Narrator could do a divine intervention and get your character to calm down enough not to have a complete meltdown. Or Retcon things partially anyway to prevent those shits fits from happening like that. Your choice really, since either option involves tampering with your character on some sort of level.
