It feels pleased to be offered more birdseed.

The nervousness at Calam is not present toward Kirlia. It actually has no problem wandering right up to Kirlia's pointed toes in pursuit of birdseed, which it won't do to Nathan. Kirlia smiles at it and feels a certain kinship with it, though you're not sure why. He (Kirlia) doesn't seem stressed about the Pokemon either.

Interesting...

Nathan smiles at that too, and hands some birdseed to Kirlia.  Though he is definitely puzzled about this...

"You want to play with Kirlia for a little bit?  He and I could use a little bit of a stress reliever, to be honest.  We're on a very important mission and...well, we kinda just got out of a rather...dangerous situation.  It's nice to see such a friendly face down here, to be honest."

Nathan digs in his bag for a moment and pulls out a ball (something he uses when playing with Orthros), then also hands that to Kirlia so the two pokemon can play catch or roll it between each other or whatever else they want to do with it.

Still keeping his distance out of respect for the mystery pokemon's nervousness. But hey, if Kirlia and it are playing together, that's progress!
