"They have their ways.  Particularly Petrel.  He's not head of the intelligence division for nothing.  And yes, I talked to him earlier about what he was looking into.  He's still looking into some of the things, but he did manage to dig up that the NRF wasn't exactly as mothballed as everyone thought it was, and that the National Guard are barely able to keep the situation merely contained.  And if recent occurrences are anything to go by, they're struggling to do even that much now.  I don't think why he ran out to check on things so suddenly is all that hard to figure out."
