As you traverse the maze of pillars, a voice forces entry into your minds, causing Ventus (at least) to wince. Mr. Finder cowers. It's an oily voice, but its force is harsh in contrast to the silence of this area.

"WELL DONE." That's all it says.

Suddenly, the room's light transitions to pale green. Five Reuniclus ooze through the tunnel into the chamber, protected by Barriers and Light Screens. More light comes from metal spikes in the ooze above their heads, wired in rings and glowing with energy. The Pokemon have their hands clasped, each taking cover behind a pillar and sending psychic power questing from their pseudohands.

Their silent command goes forth, to come to them and be subsumed. But you are experienced adventurers now, strong of will and exposed to more strange forces than most trainers will ever see in their lives. You resist the call.

Metal spikes and wires?

Nathan is instantly wary of these Reuiniclus.  Is Kirlia picking up any sort of emotional reading from them?

Yep, Kirlia is confident they are hostile and tricksy. But like the Solosis, they don't have much will of their own, other than their offensive power.
