As you traverse the maze of pillars, a voice forces entry into your minds, causing Ventus (at least) to wince. Mr. Finder cowers. It's an oily voice, but its force is harsh in contrast to the silence of this area.

"WELL DONE." That's all it says.

Suddenly, the room's light transitions to pale green. Five Reuniclus ooze through the tunnel into the chamber, protected by Barriers and Light Screens. More light comes from metal spikes in the ooze above their heads, wired in rings and glowing with energy. The Pokemon have their hands clasped, each taking cover behind a pillar and sending psychic power questing from their pseudohands.

Their silent command goes forth, to come to them and be subsumed. But you are experienced adventurers now, strong of will and exposed to more strange forces than most trainers will ever see in their lives. You resist the call.

". ' .....GET OUT OF MY MIND. '"

Ventus growls out in a guttural voice both physically and mentally theses word, gazing at each of the soulless/Will-less Reuniclus with outright MURDEROUS anger. Nothing was allowed into the sanctity of his head/his group mates heads unless he gave them explicit permission, and even less than that was allow to influence or twist their thoughts, so what THOSE treacherous blobs were trying to do.......it instantly triggered his infamously bad temper. To say he wants to brutally brutalize each and every one of those soulless fiends would be both an understatement and somewhat redundant, but it gives a good idea about how badly  he want to eliminates each and everyone one of them.

Fortunately (or not, depending on your perspective), he couldn't go Unfettered or berserk with everyone in such tight quarters, so he managed to reign in his fiery, incandescent wrath into something far more cold and calculating,  his mind seething with that emotion as he sharply looked at both Malphena and Lucifer (The later of which had crawled out of his sweater and took to the air). "Brother, sister, can you target these Reuniclus behind their cover? I know each of you have AoE attacks, but could you also flank them and savage them without those pillars blunting incoming damage? Regardless, prepare yourselves according, for we need to dispatch these creatures with swiftness and without mercy. "

With that said, the HIGHLY irritated sociologist prepared himself for a viscous fight, hands already close to his satchel and waiting to pull out all sorts of Healing Items or the like to support his family members. Diplomacy was lost on these empty vessels; time to smash them to pieces instead.

Order: Lucifer will use Tailwind on himself, Malphena, Victor, and Gustav (Since the one has Phantom Force [I do wonder if Reflect/Light Screen count as Shields, though....], and the other has boosted Heal Pulses and Bubbles), while Malphena prepares herself with Nasty Plot, then uses Growl to dampen those Mindless Reuniclus' power (but only if more than one action for a prep stage is possible, otherwise it will be Growl only). A nasty fight has found its way on our doorstep, so its time to kick it right off! Shall we, mates?
