"...alright, that's all from me for now.  Ventus, do you happen to have something on you that can grind up apricorns?  There's something I definitely want to do before we leave..."  (He's asking Ventus because he knows the researcher has ground up an apricorn before...and because I forgot who has the item in question.  *shrug*)

While somewhat irritated (which is readily visible and apparent) that Nathan adamant refusal to teach all his Rock Smash capable Pokémon the move ('Does the boy not trust me or my expertise? …...Perhaps, perhaps not, and both for good reason. *Mental Sighing*') , Ventus decided to let the matter go and not pressure the issue for now. He knew quite well how stubborn they were when they have made up their mind, and more over asking him to compromise on his (admittedly reasonable) guidelines he forced on everyone in front of the rest of the group....that not ideal to reinforce his policy. Just has to bind his time, and try again in private and more....favorable circumstances...

The young scholar's question brought him out of his mild brooding soon enough, causing the empath look at them in appraisingly for a moment.....before he nodded his hand, reached into his satchel, and easily pulled out his personal the morter and pestle. "Here. I've cleaned it since its last use, so do not worry about contamination. Presumably, are you asking for it to conduct a Bonding Ritual with one of your Pokémon?  If so, do need assistance in remembering how to perform it, or are you fine?"


All of this was said in a calm, polite tone, with nothing in his mood or body language indicating it was anything less than genuine. Which was the truth, but he's also hiding how surely he is about not getting all his Pokémon taught Rock Smash, so just want to clarify!
