"*Another casual shrug* It is the truth. Superstitions are....meaningless and silly most of the time. I do not judge people or Pokémon until I get to know them, and even then, I know their is more to learn and understand about them. Dog looked nice and friendly, so I treated them as such. Simple."

And it was for Terra. Already, it was clear that he was uncomplicated and frank as he first appeared to be. Probably made him even more refreshing to deal with for Nathan, so yay?

He took quiet joy in Orthros' reactions, a faint smile present all the while he petted and got to know them. Yes, they were a good doggie indeed. They would get along great with his own dog, when he got around to introducing them to her. Hopefully she won't wear him out....or himself and Nathan.

"Later," was all that he said to Forthright at her pleading looks, his tone kind, delicate, but brooking no argument. He was generous with her, but he was also responsible too, and didn't want to rile them up and give her trainer trouble dealing with a sugar addled child. That was a burden that should not be given to anyone.....

Terra simply drank in the Knowledge that the boy gave him, nodding to himself as he carefully listened, memorized, and stored all that information away. 

When they asked about his origins, the herculian man seemed surprised for a moment, before calming down saying to them "Yes. Been awhile since I came here, but still....discovering and learning new things and Pokemon. Hmm....you are smart and a good trainer. *Closes his eyes and nods his head* Good combination."

He wanted to touch the Gallade's bladed arms to see how sharp they really were himself, but restrained that desire. Randomly touching somebody without their permission was just rude, and he doubted they wanted to harm himself.

At their inquiry to why he wanted to battle them so soon, Terra looked as if the reason was obvious to him, but slowly realized that wasn't the case for the boy, causing him to blink a couple of times before he elaborated.

"Need to know how strong you are, what Pokémon you use, and how you use them in a fight. See if any improvements or help is needed, and so that I can learn how to best fight alongside you. You get the chance to do the same with me too. Its also good practice for the both of us; can never have enough practice or training."

Pausing at this moment, he looked at Nathan to see if they understood. If they didn't, he really didn't know what to do then, but he would still try to get his point across to him.

"Well?"

Definitely a nice change of pace.

Forthright affixes Terra with quite a serious stare.  She's going to hold him accountable for that promise!

Gallade indeed doesn't want Terra to harm himself out of sheer curiosity.  He's still trying to get used to this himself, so he sheathes the blade just as quickly as he unsheathed it.  Fighting with blades attached to your elbows isn't easy, and can also be very dangerous for both the target and the wielder.

"This is your first visit to Cress City, isn't it?  While I don't disagree with your points, battles in this location are not something treated lightly.  They're only typically done for ceremonial purposes.  Well, and self defense if that's ever necessary.  They're not forbidden, but...you might get some strange looks if you have a seemingly random battle within the city limits."

Gallade gives Heart a respectful nod when the collector approaches.
