"Yeah, I've got some mounts.  I think you might be a bit...bigger and heavier than what they're used to carrying, though.  No offense intended.  A Rapidash might be able to hold you, but I'm not sure I would be able to ride her at the same time as you without stressing her unnecessarily...and I'd rather not reveal my cards early since I know very little about the cards you have, if you catch my drift."

"Also, what are the rules for this battle you'd like to do?  Fairly important details, those.  Would be nice to know them so I can pick my pokemon accordingly."

Judging by the confusion on his face when you tossed out that phrase at him, the herculian man did not catch your drift.

"None taken. What do cards have to do with hitching a ride, though? I don't have any myself, besides ones from my parents. If you do not want to give me a mount, that is fine. Walking in and out of the city is no trouble for me, and I can follow you to good battle grounds."

When asked about the terms of combat, Terra laped into thoughtful silence again (which often involved stroaking his bread and/or closing his eyes in contemplation), until a moment later he broke it by calmly and seriously declaring them in such a way that implied he's had years of experience in doing such.

"6V6 or 3V3 Single Battle. Our Pokémon battle until either one is Fainted, and the winner it the last one with unFainted Pokemon. No Sleep, No Items except the ones held by our Pokemon, No Switching, OHKO, or Evasion Altering Moves, and we get time before the battle to prep our Pokémon however we want. Those are my terms of battle. I want to test you, and I want to be tested. Are those acceptable?"

He crosses his arms and stares at you, and patiently waits your response.
