Reiner gets up and offers Kyubi a hand to help her pull herself up.  (Making extra sure to keep at least a little space between the two of them)

Funny thing about this is that if there was an obvious alternative to the bed besides the floor, Reiner would probably be napping on that instead and this might not have happened.  Of course, since the couch is now a smoldering wreck...yeah.

"So, besides the head bump, feeling better?"

With a barely visible but quite Mareepish smile, Kyubi accepted your hand and rose up while rubbing the back of her head, hissing and her tails flailing a bit as she touched upon the tender spot.

To your surprise, you felt nothing but smooth skin from her paw-hand hybrid appendage, even though you could clearly see the fur on it. What?

Despite your best efforts, though, you could not prevent her from slowly inching closer to you and riiiight into The Zone of Personal Space, leaning in to lightly hug you. You couldn't see it, but you could feel her smiling, as well as some lingering hints of sadness and.....something else you can't describe. Hmm....

"Yes. I'm tired, and still feel...…bad for causing you so much pain and trouble, but I'm....better. Thank you for asking, master...."

Her voice was soft and quiet, but it no longer even remotely miserably sounding. Not quite happy, but she'll get their eventually.
