[Well, you could always just have Reiner remain oblivious to Kyubi's deceptions, and avoid the trouble altogether. Ignorance is bliss, and all that! Now, time to fulfil an old promise of mine...]

"...………………....*Chuckles* No, no, not like that. Like this. …Yes, that's it, very good! We'll make a fine dancer out you yet, and not have you stumble around like your poor father. *Chuckles* just his luck to be born with two left feet and marry little me. Isn't that right, my son?"

You let out a high pitched giggle, and looked up grinning at the bemused face of your kaa-san Yuuka Arendse.

Right now, you were clumsily 'practicing' (more like goofing around) her elaborate and artful dance style while she 'instructed you' (more like goofing with you), as you moved to the beat of some pre-record music from the shows she's in. You'd always enjoyed these sorts of 'girly' things with your kaa-san despite how emasculating it was, as you both shared a great passion for theatric and performance, and she always managed to turn just about any activity into a fun and elegant time! 

That, and you kinda sorta maybe liked and WANTED to dance as well as her someday, but that wasn't something you were going to admit to ANYONE! Nu uh!

However.....all of a sudden...….things start to seem......strange to you?

Everything looked.....hazy....see through.....immaterial now that you finished that last dance routine, and they was this......heaviness that permitted the entire air. 

The only things that seemed....seemed real were yourself and kaa-san, who's smile had faded away into an experssion of confusion and marked concern. She was almost frighteningly swift to rush forward and press you close to herself a moment later, before she panned her vision around the room , filled with tension and wariness as she deftly palmed a Pokeball from her sleeve.

"Stay close to me, my little dragon. Something.....strange is going on, I'll get to the bottom of this soon and we can get right back to our dancing, so please don't be afraid....."

At that often use term of endearment left her lips, your eyes widened as you suddenly knew.

This...this was a dream. You were re-experiencing one of the many happy memories you shared with your kaa-san when you were younger than even Emily....

Yet....yet is was also more than that.

It felt.....more real that just a dream.....yet at the same time everything seemed so immaterial too.

You don't know how or why you felt or knew this, but you knew it was the Truth.

You also knew, without a shadow of a doubt, that your kaa-san was not just a figment of your wistful subconscious.

No.....she was real too, just like you were.

What?

How?

Why?

You didn't know, but you did too, in a way.

This was a dream that both of you were sharing, but now.....it was a dream where you both were aware of. 

Right now, it seemed like your kaa-san hadn't realized this yet like you did, and was still searching the room for whatever was causing.....this to happen.

Suddenly, you had an urge to look at yourself.

Now, instead of a small child, you were now your adult self.

Your mother hadn't noticed this as well.

Then, you heard a voice. A very familiar voice.

(…Let my will be done. I have now fulfilled my promise to you Reiner. For this night alone as you slumber, you shall be with your mother, in this shared dream world I have drawn you both into. Take your time, for you will only awaken when the both of you wish it, and it will be early morning for the two when you do so. )

(Never say or think that I am totally heartless or unsympathetic to your plight again, Reiner. I may be annoying as Mew claims at times, or as fiendish and manipulative as THEY claim, but I am not without kindness , care, or generosity. I want you to see you succeed, but I am also responsible to balance that out against the needs and wants of EVERYTHING else in this little universe I'ved weaved. Life without challenge is empty, and happiness or success without struggle or conflict is meaningless, after all.....)


(I don't expect you to understand or care about my responsibilities or plight, but that is okay. Somebody has to be the one behind the scene planning everything, and if he is hated for doing his job......well, that's only his fault in the end, really)

(Enough chatter from me, though. Enjoy you long awaited personal time with your mother, Reiner.)

Not quite what I expected to happen, but hey, this works out great!

Well, step one: catch her attention.  Reiner sounding a lot older all of a sudden will probably do the trick just fine

Step two: hopefully communicate that everything is fine
