Once all the note taking/memorization is finished [I'll have to update my own notes in the morning], Reiner closes his mother's book quietly and passes it back over to her.

"...well...honestly, this ended up being more than I ever could have asked for.  It's been...wonderful talking with you again...and I'm sorry I haven't been...what you hoped I would be...before we get back to our crazy daily lives, though..."

Reiner stands and offers a hand to his mother.

"...one last dance?  I still have two left feet compared to you, but I don't think that should stop me.  And if you could pass on a greeting and an apology to father from me...that would be spectacular."

Well.

This was it. 

It was Time for you both to return to the waking world, and suffer the indignity and sorrow of being far, far away from you.

Unaware of what might come of you, in that cold, cruel, and callous world you choose to live in.

Of the scatterbrained plots you've weaved, and the ones you've been snared into.

This was it.

This was good-bye.

Perhaps not forever, but it would be a very long time before you would have the chance meet each other again....

All this was the thoughts of your kaa-san, as she looked at your outstretched hand, expression blank as she tried hard not to burst into sorrowful tears again. There had been enough sadness and bittersweat memories and revelations tonight from the both of them, and she didn't want to make this any harder on herself and her little dragon.

Instead, she managed to muster a faint but genuine smile as she took your hand and helped her up, looking at you with misty eyes full of unfettered love for her child.

"Took the words right out of my mouth. I wish our lives were not as wild as the Dragon we tamed...but then again, moments like this would not be all the sweeter. Struggling with all our might, so we can enjoy freedom all the more..."

She titters at your offer for one last dance, before playfully tutting as she began to lead you through the motions.

"Ha Ha Ha...you're hopeless without me, you know that dear? Oh well, I guess I'll pick up the slack, like a mother always does. Someday, though....I'll make a real kimono dancer out of you yet. Count on it, my little, precious Reiner. Now, it goes like this....."

Together, you two dance the night away, the dream world fading and eroding around you as glided across the floor. As the dance wound to a close, your kaa-san gave you a kiss on the forehead for good luck and blessings for the new day, and you gave her one last hug good bye to impart some of your strength to her...
