Do you fear the current devs and team incapable of filling the old one's shoes? Don't get me wrong, I get that you want to know how much this game is following original plans, but original don't necessary means better, things change with time. In addition, when all the original plans have been followed, do you want game to stop developing? Or would you still want new updates? The concerns should be focused on what's best for the game moving forward and the fact that the new team have the old one's blessings and are trying their best to keep the game alive and flourish.
But if you're still THAT curious and seek answer, follow my signature to the Discord to ask the team yourself, most (if not all of them) hang out there these days...

I almost feel like I've done something wrong by even bringing it up now, but yes, I get that original might not mean better, and no, I'm not trying to give the impression that that's where they should stop. I'm only saying that I'm hoping whatever amount of info they got from the original devs is enough to take the game as far as possible without ruining the overall tone or style of it. I'm not expecting any cheap cop-out, in fact given the broad range of possibilities that the story COULD go with going forward I don't think it's possible to ruin it, but the tiny inner skeptic in me does have that bit of concern that the story won't end as well as it could (not that the game ends when the story does, of course).
