[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel
(Ah, but that's only because Reiner hasn't done his part yet, Mew. Wink )

(I think we were looking forward to this for different reasons, though.  So sorry if that's a disappointment for you!  Now then, on to the main mechanical reason Reiner's doing all of this!~)

Reiner closes his eyes and nods.

...and then he slips the warped ring onto his finger as best as he can.  And that should increase Mew's Happiness and Loyalty by 1 (ignoring any existing caps on the stats) so long as they both hold their respective rings.  And also Reiner's towards Mew, technically speaking, even though there's no numbers on the actual character sheet to depict that.

(And there ya go, Mew.  Surprise!  A little something to make the next few months easier on both of you.  Say what you will about Romeo and Juliet, but when their devotion to each other was strong enough to transfer even just a fraction of it to these seemingly simple wedding bands...)

...of course, wearing such a distorted ring for long periods of time would not only look telling, but would also be uncomfortable.  Good thing Windos said Reiner doesn't have to keep the ring on his finger in my discussions with him.  Reiner slips Juliet's Wedding Ring back into his pocket once it's clear he can't keep wearing it on his finger for long periods of time.

"...it's done then.  Thank you for continuing to give me a chance, Mew, even though I've screwed up in absolutely massive ways lately."

He leans down and picks up the Expert Belt.  "Probably going to be incredibly handy for what's to come no matter who's using it..."

And then he looks at Mew.  "Well, before we do much else in the way of the NRF, there's one more thing we need to have in place: how long would it take you to convert a Z-Crystal (Fightinium specifically in this case) into a Mewnium Z?  If it takes more than a few seconds, we should probably create one now so we don't have to worry about it later if we do need to level the NRF entirely.  I don't mind carrying an 'armed nuke' around when we can only use it if we both agree that it's necessary."

-------------------------

"Hehe...good to see you too, Emily.  No, nothing happened in particular.  I need to head back out again soon, though.  Stopped by to make a few preparations since I need to visit a rather...dangerous location, unfortunately.  Gonna take awhile to deal with that little issue to try and prevent something from happening in the first placr, but it needs to be done...*sigh*...can't just catch a break, really...but I have a little time, at least, so that's good.  Not much, but maybe enough for now."

He looks Emily in the eyes.

"I'm sorry for leaving ya out to dry lately.  Been difficult to adjust to things being a little more relaxed for your end of things, what with how busy I've been recently.  Ya doing at least a little better, though?"

-------------------

And if I may elaborate a little, Reiner, that particular Cursed Arm...it kills anything it shoots instantly.  The price for using it is steep, but when someone is willing to pay that cost in spades...it's not pretty.  Be extra, extra careful around that one.

(And yes, Mew, Reiner and I can communicate via his thoughts now.  Where the 4th Wall is located in this story is getting...vague, to say the least.)

@$#%!  Now I really don't like the sound of this...

Reiner pinches his nose (much like what Proton is doing later!).  "...would have been nice to know about that a little earlier, Arial...that's quite possibly the most dangerous Cursed Arm user of them all...you're delving deep into the territory of people and things that nobody even wants to mention lest they attract the wrong attention..."

---------------------

"...mind backing up just a liiitle bit there, Adamantine?  Don't exactly want to be pricked by one of those large barbs of yours by accident, so a little more space would be very much appreciated.  Name's Reiner, by the way.  Gonna be needin' your help dealing with somethin' soon.  Something you should be very well suited for."

Aside from the immediate worry of how little space there is, everything's fine.

---------------------

"Glad to see we have an understanding, then.  I wish things would stay simple too, to be honest, but things just keep coming up at the worst times."  He shrugs.  "No plans involving getting torn to pieces, I can assure you of that."

...

"The Archie situation is handled.  No problems remain relating to his activities."

(None that Team Rocket needs to immediately worry about, if at all, anyways.)
