(I think we were looking forward to this for different reasons, though.  So sorry if that's a disappointment for you!  Now then, on to the main mechanical reason Reiner's doing all of this!~)

Reiner closes his eyes and nods.

...and then he slips the warped ring onto his finger as best as he can.  And that should increase Mew's Happiness and Loyalty by 1 (ignoring any existing caps on the stats) so long as they both hold their respective rings.  And also Reiner's towards Mew, technically speaking, even though there's no numbers on the actual character sheet to depict that.

(And there ya go, Mew.  Surprise!  A little something to make the next few months easier on both of you.  Say what you will about Romeo and Juliet, but when their devotion to each other was strong enough to transfer even just a fraction of it to these seemingly simple wedding bands...)

...of course, wearing such a distorted ring for long periods of time would not only look telling, but would also be uncomfortable.  Good thing Windos said Reiner doesn't have to keep the ring on his finger in my discussions with him.  Reiner slips Juliet's Wedding Ring back into his pocket once it's clear he can't keep wearing it on his finger for long periods of time.

"...it's done then.  Thank you for continuing to give me a chance, Mew, even though I've screwed up in absolutely massive ways lately."

He leans down and picks up the Expert Belt.  "Probably going to be incredibly handy for what's to come no matter who's using it..."

And then he looks at Mew.  "Well, before we do much else in the way of the NRF, there's one more thing we need to have in place: how long would it take you to convert a Z-Crystal (Fightinium specifically in this case) into a Mewnium Z?  If it takes more than a few seconds, we should probably create one now so we don't have to worry about it later if we do need to level the NRF entirely.  I don't mind carrying an 'armed nuke' around when we can only use it if we both agree that it's necessary."

"Hehe...good to see you too, Emily.  No, nothing happened in particular.  I need to head back out again soon, though.  Stopped by to make a few preparations since I need to visit a rather...dangerous location, unfortunately.  Gonna take awhile to deal with that little issue to try and prevent something from happening in the first placr, but it needs to be done...*sigh*...can't just catch a break, really...but I have a little time, at least, so that's good.  Not much, but maybe enough for now."

He looks Emily in the eyes.

"I'm sorry for leaving ya out to dry lately.  Been difficult to adjust to things being a little more relaxed for your end of things, what with how busy I've been recently.  Ya doing at least a little better, though?"

Aside from the immediate worry of how little space there is, everything's fine.

(That doesn't mean we can't share joy in this occasion, puppetter, no matter how where we find it! And hw could I be disappointed, if I already knew the outcome from the very beginning? Hehehehehe.....)
(Rings are typically worn in the one of the two 'Ring Slots' that a NPC/Player has, but I'm willing to allow that once 'equipped' it can be transferred to a pocket and still 'count' as being worn. But only for that ring, and it still takes up a Ring Slot!)

Mew was halfway through giving you a nod in return for you comment, when you slipped on your ring on.

Immediately, you experience what could only be vaguely described as a 'jolt of connectivity', and fractions of a second later you felt yourself grow closer to the sociopathic mythical being! Your bond and general good with her mood increasing noticeably despite how 'stiff' and cold both were before hand, and you now feel as though you understand your partner more than ever before! Once you got accustomed to that....strengthened connection, you finally notice one last detail: the warped ring you were wearing was now emanating a comforting warmth, not unlike an electric blanket or a mug of hot chocolate.

What in the world....?

Your own ponderings on this event were arrested when you hear what was unmistakably a gasping "Mew!" , causing you to automatically snap your head towards the pink panther to see what the dickens was the matter.

From what you could plainly at first glance, you weren't the only one affecting by the mutual wearing of the wedding bands.

Her eyes and pupils were greatly contracted, and was trembling all over as she shakily raised her ringed paw and stared at it for a moment.

'W-What? Wait, no, this can't be real......-!- yes, it is true. I....I can feel. Faintly, shallowly, and almost pitiful amount compared to what I remembering experiencing, but I can FEEL. This.....this should be impossible, but it is not, and its because of.......'

Before you could even react, the no longer totally apathetic feline was right into both your and somehow your face as they stared at you two in a never before seen (for you) mix of unshakeable authority and breathless, almost ephemeral joy.

'Never unequip that ring under any circumstance, unless I say so. If us wearing these wedding bands restore even a fraction of my capacity to feel, then I want them on 24/7. Being a shadow of former self is much for us better than me feeling that vacuous, gnawing emptiness, so we keep these rings ON. Understood?' 

'.....And Thank You. Thank you so much. You've not totally redeemed yourself yet, but this....this is a good start. A very good start.'

Once things settle down between you/you have a chance to react, you move onto the your request, to which the semi-sociopathic Mythic slightly grimaced in distaste before it cleared the way as they calmly shook her head.

'It can be done almost instantaneously, if you have the Will for it. A small part of me feels that utilizing its power is a poor idea, but logically I find it to be a sound idea to have a 'Godzilla Threshold' option. If the situation happens to become hellish at the NRF, then it can hardly be worsened by a Genesis Supernova from me. Just give me the Fightingum Z, and I can convert it into a Mewium Z now."

Presumably you do so, and a briefly flash of light and brief but potent sense of enervation later Mew is 'holding' the what is analogous to the trigger for one of the most destructive 'nuking' moves in all of existence. Mewium Z and access to Genesis Supernova gain! 1 Willpoint Spent!

The little miss just giggled harder and tightened her hug on your legs at your initial two remarks, some tension/worry leaving her as you declared all was (for now) fine and dandy for you. However, when you began speaking of the not so great news Emily tensed right back up again, letting you go and take a couple of steps back return your look with a troubled one of her own.

".....Are you talking about Nuclear Research place that dumb cockhead of yours and my parents talked about? I don't know much about it, only that its a very, very scary, nasty, and bad. *Makes a pouty face* Why do you have to go there? I know you are REALLY tough like and can do anything, but.....I still don't like you going somewhere that awful..."

She goes silent after this, tilting her head down to kick at the floor.

The bio metallic colossus continues to stare at you a few more seconds after you kindly request your personal space back, before backing up and bobbing her head, the spikes on top nearly scraping the ceiling as she did so. Naturally, she curious about her new master and wants to learn more about them, but not enough that it override the obvious concern of turning you into a bloody pin cushion with a careless caress.

Well, at least until they becomes familiar enough with each other to NOT stab/get stabbed by her Iron Barbs. Then she can start motorboating you to her heart's content, if she ever had the inclination.

At you declaration of needing her assistance in a task she could excel in, she tilts her body curiously at you trying to figure out what that was. What could he be referring to.....ah. That must be it.

Nodding slightly to herself, the barbed ironweed lowered herself to the ground, and inexplicably the barbs on top of her armor retracted inwards! She then focus her attention squarely on you, looking.....expectant.

Reiner Empathy Roll: Insight + Survival + 1/2 Empathy (You don't know her THAT well to use it all) = 11D6 Dice, need at least 4 Successes to completely understand her intent.

You think....she wants you to get on, so that she can carry you around? What? Oh wait.....she knows Rock Climb, and her species is naturally inclined to scale as sorts of surfaces! She mistakenly assumed that you wanted to use that Move/trait of her to utilize her as some sort of mobile defense fortress, and 'complied'! Huh!
