She does meet his gaze to her with a friendly one of her own, Vaporeon totally explots this moment of distraction to SNATCH that scarlet feather out of Shiva's hand with her paws as if it was a yummy Red-Striped Basculin, then began to confidently chew on it while being curled up right there on the table. She gives the arriving man a neutral look, not hostile at all but not very interested either, as long as he won't steal her prey she'll be friendly to him.

Shiva on the other hand graced Terra with a mild smile as took a seat at her table, as if to silently say 'welcome!'. She's not very prone of long discussions or such in the mornings either, so she doesn't speak up herself until he gives her the signal that it was fine to do so. His brief wondering about Raphael she noticed, but she let it be - she's wouldn't enjoy having to justify herself why Raphael is with her like with Nathan yesterday evening. However, does Raphael himself recognize Terra or otherwise react to him in a way that'd indicate that he saw him already, @Lord Windos or @Iron? That's something Shiva would definitely pick up.

"G.... good morning then!", she eventually did speak up. "Good to see you already. I'm usually not up that early either, but I, eh, guess I've had enough rest for now." She looked half tired still, though. "How you're doing, did you sleep well? Are you....fine with having our agreed Pokemon Battle happening after breakfast still?"

(I'll leave Raphael's reaction to Iron, though I will say that Terra's only meet them once/twice, and only in passing)

The rugged wanderer catches the fishy fox's appraising stare with a look of his own, and held it for a beat, before they reach down on their tray, picked up a wedge of apple, and offered it to her. Just a simple kind gesture, to get to know that strange Pokémon a little better. He also returns the young lady's gaze with a small smile and nod of his head, then immediately resumed his breakfast.

He pauses for a moment to consider her questions, spoon in hand and another stroking his chin beard in thought as he stared down at his oatmeal, before he looked back up to her and slowly nodded his head.

"Good, and yes. Don't sleep in beds often, so my rest was extra....comfy. Ended up oversleeping.....sorry about that."

Terra rubs the back of his head, looking apologetic at early being 'tardy' for their battle, and then continued.

"Hmm....I am. I have my own rules for it, but if you have any.....suggestions, that would be fine with me too. Want battle to be challenging, but fair for us both. Okay?"

He gives her a calm, curious look as he finishes, and patiently awaits her response.
