Well, nothing prevents Giegeroach from accumulating Pain from one Pain Split bond, before using Pain Split again on a different target and offloading some of it onto a Fresh Target. An EX of this would be if Arial and GR accumulated 8 Pain between them (4 Pain for each), and then she uses PS on a different target to suddenly give it + 2 Pain while halving hers, and leaving Arial with his 4 Pain and + 4 STR. A more elaborate and strategic use of the Move, but its viable none the less.

Hmmm...interesting idea...certainly not an interpretation I would have thought of, though I suppose there's nothing in the book that goes against it...

Though it'd probably work better against 2 or 3 opponents rather than one.
