He is indeed baffled by the seemingly inexplicable strong look a like of Grid, since as far as he knows the boy doesn't own multiple Galvantula. That is, until her remember something from the profiles and roster file that Ven gave him on Nathan: he most likely had a 'Masking' , a Pokémon that had the ability to perfectly appear as other creatures! The simple monk couldn't recall much more than that about them, though, due to the utter lack of information on the Pokémon in the r.f. (This is due to Ven knowing next to nothing about Tandor Pokémon, and he really didn't get to know them before leaving), but it DID clear away his confusion, leaving in its place faint surprise and moderate levels of curiosity.

'....Strange Pokémon. VERY strange. But.....interesting. Are their more Pokémon like it, or even stranger? Hm....'

When Nathan gestured for him to not interfere, Terra easily complied with a nod of his head, gesturing to his Electric Fenrir and mischevious dragoness to be on stand by with him. If the boy thinks they can handle Bulba alone, then he'll be more than willing to let them.
