Hariyama and Meowth could always apply Flitch guaranteed with Fake Out, and if held back its unlikely either will do enough damage to serious hurt P-Bulba. All it would take is just coordinating a Pokeball being tossed out right after/while its Flinched, which may or may not be possible. Iron, is it?

Don't have any Pokémon capable of Disabling myself, but I'm wondering if Ghost Curse could count as a 'status' , given its mechanics in PokeRole. At the very least, it will ACT like it has one, what with it being liberal with the (1)(1) s …

If you want to be an utter arse/bastard too and don't mind collateral damage, Spite, Grudge, and/or Destiny Bond could be neat ways to make captures easier, as the former two moves directly attack the Will of a Pokémon without 'hurting it', while Destiny Bond just makes sure a Pokémon Faints if the user Faints, not necessarily Damaging the foe. Pressure can also halve Will of Targets, so having a Mon with that Ability out + Inflicting Status and/or Ghost Shenanigans would probably trivialize captures, or make even the unruliest Wild Pokémon less of a chore.

Fainting is technically also considered a Status Condition, so that jumps to - 13 Will on a Capture if you don't mind pulverizing a Pokémon first before tossing out a ball. Its why I always grab regular Pokeballs and only grab the odd Ultra or niche ball like Dusk + Net, since if you have plenty of Statusers and don't mind KOing everything you fight, its not like you need more than 2 Success most of the time. When you DO, those are the moments you break out the special Balls!

Well, of course not, but its at least 'better' than being brutalized to within an inch of their life, so its not that bad comparatively speaking.

Of course, but given that Bulbasaur (typically) have a 7:1 Male:Female ratio, the odds are (probably) rather good if the gender is randomized instead of set in stone.  Always worth a try, right?

I think that should be doable, given my conditions for throwing a pokeball while catching Ray as a recent example.  Of course, it's kinda hard to throw a pokeball with any accuracy if you're blinded...

I'd personally be inclined to say it's not classified as one (as then you'd have a precedent for saying other things like Telekinesis and such could count as statuses), but given that it basically adds a -1 success to all rolls, yeah, that's still pretty dang effective...

Ghosts are fun like that  So many ways to cripple you without actually KOing you directly...it only takes one lucky ghost among a hoard to bring a tough opponent down a peg.  Or make them fall off the ladder entirely.  And yup, Pressure is great, too!  (And as a bonus, is a real nasty piece o' work if your opponent only has 1 Will left before Pressure is applied)

I wouldn't say Fainting is technically a Status, tbh.  That's a thing all its own.

Sure.  So long as you don't inflict any of the 3 statuses that could kill the pokemon if left untreated.  Poison, Burn, and (sometimes) Freeze are scary statuses.
