"...as I said, Terra, we're a team.  You may be slower than most, but you're not dumb.  Honestly.  I don't think you should sell yourself short.  You can do great things too if you give yourself the chance.  And if you need a little help, don't hesitate to ask.  That's what we're all here for."


Nathan pauses, then looks at Gallade, who nods to answer some silent question.  Nathan closes his eyes, thinks for a second, then nods back and looks at Terra again.

"Lovely and your new Meowth are still out by the cave if I remember correctly.  I think they're probably fine, but Gallade wants to make sure you don't get into too much trouble trying to retrieve them.  Our new pink friend can't stray very far from the cave.  Gallade's going to go with you, just in case they're still hanging around.  Having a panic button to press and a way to quickly return to civilization is certainly a nice thing.  Oh, and one more thing: do you still have those pokeballs I loaned to you?"

Again, Terra looked mystified at Nathan's kind praise, because up to this point he had wholeheartedly believed he was an unimportant cretin in the grand scheme of things, only good in a few select areas and utterly useless in all others, and ultimately disposable compared to almost anyone else. Now, this clever trainer was continuously challenging that long ingrained notion, first by saving his life in spite of the great danger in doing so, and then sincerely believing in him.

Hardly anyone in his entire life had done so much to make him feel significant like that. Never had he expected that would happen so soon with anyone in the group, let alone occur in the first place.

Altogether, it made for....quite the heady revelation.

For a couple of minutes, the rugged wanderer remained like that as he chewed over the boy's words, until at last he almost grudgingly nodded to them, still looking deeply thoughtful and not altogether sure of many things.

"....Have to think about this....more...but I understand. *Shakes his head* Not happy with you.....endangering yourself....but can accept why you did. In group....everyone help everyone no matter what, unless they can not. Will....have to remember that now. *Pauses, then shakes head again*…Still. Don't....make habit of doing....stuff like that. …Unless you are sure. That its no big risk to you, or the others. Putting yourself in danger....makes me feel bad. Not happy. You getting....injured because of me, or......worse......would not be able to forgive myself. ...So if I have to...do my duty like that again....let me. Your's, Shiva's, and Heart's lives more important than mine. ….Please."

For the second part of the conversation, the mountain of a man looked ready to object to Gallade putting themselves in harms way, before he paused and thought it a little more (and of what he knew/recently learnt from/about Nathan/his psychic knight), and then let out a heavy *Sigh*.

"....Fine. Don't like Gallade risking himself....but both of you don't.....- *Grumbles under breath* ...maybe won't *Speaks up* want in too much danger, so he can come. *Beat, then frowns* ….Tiny Pink is not our friend. They tried to kill us. Chase us, far away from cave. *Shakes head* Not what a new friend or partner would do. *Pauses* …Most of the time...."

As for the Pokeballs, Terra simply hands them back after a couple of seconds, both slicked with leftover moisture from Murelicanth’s Hydro Pump. Hopefully they still work!
