Rarity: (4)(5) = 9. Something a little uncommon, but not surprising to see.
Typing: (6)(1) = 7. A very common type.
Challenge: (4)(3) = 7. Typical strength foe, which means not much of a challenge for someone like Terra.

Terra burrows around in the grass until something pops out! It's a Lickitung! Lickitung are more common where different terrain types meet. A Miltank is a little rarer. Lickitung aren't too valuable for their rarity because they have a reputation for being a weird Pokemon with poor moves. If anyone would buy one, it would be a collector.

The slobbery Pokemon immediately extends its tongue and checks out Terra's sandals with it.

First impression of the long tongued lizard-mammal thing were not positive for the martial monk, especially after it tried to glob his footwear in their salivatory secretions. He back-stepped away from it before that (glob) and favored it with a particularly unimpressed glower, before plucked Anubi ball from his belt and tossed it out to summon them. Then, once the blue bomber got its bearings, he got their attention by pointing straight at Lickitung, and said thus: "Anubi, this your opponent. Go wild." 

With such an unimpressive creature and in a low pressure/consequence environment, Terra believed + trusted his aural jackal can handle it on their own, and so left them to conduct the battle entirely themselves as a show of his faith and confidence in them. Simple, yet thoughtful!

Order: Anubi is going to fight Lickitung, and all without Terra's own input, for the reason described above (Building more Loyalty/Happiness between them, in jest)! No Pokeballs will be spent on it, as my chara's completely uninterested in them due to its introductory behavior. Time for the Fighting doggie to show their Moves!

Also, standing order concerning Anubi: Until it learns Final Gambit, Terra will cancel/stop its Evolution into a Lucario whenever it occurs. If they desire an explanation for that, he will explain to it that its not ready yet and need more experience/training/control before they can fully handle their Evo's capabilities effectively AND responsibly. That's all!
