And as for Heat Wave, Mika, that'll totally be teachable to Hida! ...once either Shiva or Nathan become more familiar with the move, that is. But once one of them is, teaching it shouldn't be a problem. Since HW is listed in the book for Slugma, it should be pre-approved for tutoring. Unfortunately, unless GM discretion is applied (i.e. saying one of the tutorers has seen the move used by other trainers enough to tutor it) or we catch a pokemon that already knows HW (which would probably be a Growlithe or Torkoal), it'll probably be awhile before Nathan or Shiva can tutor the move since the only pokemon we currently have that could potentially learn it are Charmeleon and Larvesta (who both have to evolve then spend 60+ exp on learning it). Alternatively, Magcargo does get STAB on RS, so evolving would get ya a STAB spread move too.
Another thing that evolving Hida gives ya access to is Inferno becomes tutorable. Nathan's even familiar with that move already. The catch is it might take a little convincing to teach that move because it's highly lethal if not held back, being one of the most Lethal attacks in the game. And you have to evolve Hida first before it becomes possible to teach it.
