[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

And I'm being very careful with how I handle that one semi-positive result on Nathan's end.  That trainer's not going to get away with what he did if Nathan can help it.  Though the extent that Nathan can actually help without getting himself in some form of trouble is definitely limited.  It's a long, slow process, but that trainer won't be able to avoid the law forever.

That's the League for ya when they have what looks like definitive evidence against someone.  They take those black marks very seriously, and you need to make a really, really good case to avoid getting your trainer card marked if they think they're justified in issuing that sanction.  Can't have ne'er do wells wandering around with unrestricted access to super powerful pokemon at their fingertips.  Of course, the Scimitars with gauntlets don't care much about not being able to use super powerful pokemon, so...

...Even so, I would have preferred not having those details made so blatant, and all the more painful for it. Greatly, really.

Hopefully something good comes of that plotline someday, or its just going to make that incident grate all the more. If Nathan can't help without legality issues, he could always call up Ven and have him handle the problem at that point. Pay evil unto evil, and all that, and Ven's very bad if he lets himself be.

If Ven were about to lose his Trainer's Card (1 Black Mark Away, or so) and get his Pokemon confiscated, he'd probably disappear, create new identity(ies) for himself and get Clean Trainer Cards for them, cycle out all his Pokeballs from storage and smash them one at a time in a remote and secured location, and then recapture all his beloved family members under one or more of his alias. It probably take him years to do that in Cheshire and not get caught, but for a man of his....talents and training, he'd be able to do it.

There's also fleeing the region or just hiring a mercenary and offloading his Pokemon to them to 'handle and own' legally while he still cares/give them orders, if the above isn't feasible or time is a constraint. Nothing would also stop him from smashing his more dangerous Pokemon's balls while they are released and yet still keep them around him in a remote/hard to get location, but that's not as good as the above options in terms of freedom.
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.
