He hears Shiva and turns to her. "I take that as meaning you can't see the ghost pokemon in these statues. I get the feeling that either they are powering those gems or the gems are holding them captive, either way, I can't stand to see pokemon in such a way." Nubi looks determined as well.

Nathan perks up, momentarily distracted by that statement (let's say this is after Nathan send his message to Bill, because Nathan doesn't want to be anywhere near those statues while he's messing with future tech).  "Ghosts?  There's ghost pokemon in those statues?"

Nathan looks at those statues again.  If there are Ghost pokemon in there...

Nathan gestures to Shiva and Spira to step away from those statues again, now EXTRA paranoid about them.  He points at that Eye on the banners.  "...guys...that eye over there on those banners?  That's Sarimanok's Eye.  That's the Last King's standard.  And those statues?  Those are but a few of the ones he placed around his kingdom.  'Sarimanok's Eye sees all' is how the saying used to go...and if there are Ghost types hiding in those statues...that would definitely explain how that saying came to be.  Odds are, those ghosts belong to the King himself.  We're definitely in Sarimanok's era, no mistaking it.  I really, really don't recommend messing with those statues.  That could be punishable.  I don't know to what degree, but...I'm not sure I want to find out..."

Nathan and Gallade look at Shiva.  "...being in this time means a few things.  Like, for example, women aren't as independent as they are in more present times.  We also aren't dressed for the occasion.  I guess Terra's doing fine over there, but...we three and Heart don't exactly look like anyone that lives in this time period.  I've asked Bill if he can send us some more appropriate attire since we don't know how long we'll be here.  I'm hoping he comes through, or we're going to be...very limited in what we'll be able to do in this time period without immediately becoming the talk of whatever town we wander into."

On hearing this Spira stops what he's doing, he doesn't want to find out the sentence, either. He calls out to Nubi, "Calm down, and back to your ball." Nubi complies, going back to his pokeball. "So just how long will we have to wait?"
