Mechanics: If Toya's health gets to 4 or lower Spira will use a Potion on him.
Channel is a word from the newer edition, make sure you aren't using the wrong rulebook. Channel is the same exact thing as Canalize though.
This also would have been a good chance to use at least 3 actions. With 13 dice you could have done 10/9/8 actions and still had excellent chances to crit.
Yanmega Round 1
Yanmega's huge jaws stretch out as if springloaded. They snatch up a whole line of smaller bugs and a few leaves and things too! Just an indiscriminate scarfing down of biomass.

Toya is caught up in the Yanmega's oversized jaws and shaken back and forth as if by a terrier. If that Lethal damage isn't healed with a Medicine check or a few Potions, he'll continue taking damage over time until he returns to the spirit world permanently.
