"Whoo! We did it Toya! How do you feel after that battle?" Toya is clearly still in pain from those attacks, but is proud of the accomplishment. Spira then takes a look at the slightly-smouldering Yanmega, the out-cold bug is twitching slightly. "It probably won't last long like this, but that's the way things are." He thinks for a moment, "Although, it seemed to be a bit of a menace, Toya, if you'd like you can absorb what's left of its life-force to heal yourself. The choice is entirely yours."

Toya does so, slaying Yanmega and healing itself. Absorbing life force in this way will heal all but 1 lethal damage whenever it occurs, and the target needs to be large enough (no Rattata or Sentret or Nidoran). 

The remaining point of Lethal damage can be healed with a Potion, or stopped with a Medicine check.

After seeing the Yanmega's life get drained, Spira goes to apply a potion to Toya. And let's make some burgers or jerky from that Yanmega! Crafting check. After crafting some noms from the Yanmega, Spira rejoins the group.

Lol! You make some nice crunchy drumsticks.
